What is your techique? Are you able to get that curve/roundness, V shape with no problem? How do you do it?

I'd like to know also. And if any of you have hair that grows horribly uneven like mine, that would also be helpful. i'm having the hardest time knowing WHERE to trim since i dont have eyes behind my back and when i pull my hair forward, the positions of the hairs change and wont be even once i toss the hair back.

I would like to know how ladies maintain their own V shape by trimming their own hair.

I trim my own hair and I learned to do it from this board. Hmm, how do I explain? I have two layers a top layer that's shorter (about chin length) and a longer layer that is from the ears down that is almost APL.

I put my hair in two sections and trim the ends evenly. To check the length and to make sure it's even I lean my head to the side and comb the hair down and trim again. I always trim only an eyelash length at a time. Repeat on the opposite side.

To trim the top and back middle, I hold those sections above my head and clip them even. This really works for me.

My hair is blunt cut, with two layers. I'm not sure how to get that V, but I'm sure other ladies will chime in.

I am one who loves to cut her own hair. As you can see last time I did it I cut it all off. LOL!!! W my long hair in the past I would use two mirrors, very bright room, comb and brush. I cut my hair when it was dry and freshly relaxed. Sometime new growth can interfere. When I start I work my way around slowly. I start in front all the time. I loved my results in my fotki.
