Ok so I want to texlax with PhytoSpecific. I dont have a clue which index to choose because I want the maximum texlax posible without under or over processing. I know its more of a "to each his own". But I just have to know. Is Index I better for 4a/b trying to texlax or index II?

My hair is 3c/4a with 4b patches in the crown and I accidently texturized my hair with Index I, thats with leaving it in the maximum time specified on the direction sheet. My curls have really nice bounce and body, even though I was going for straight hair.It is definitely texlaxed without all bad symptoms of underprocessing like dry bittle hair. I really dont think you can go wrong with Index I especially if you use all the kit.

Definitely do a strand test(I wish I had have) because some ladies here do report getting straight hair using Index I.I definitely think your chances are better to get the desired results with Index I.

Good, I was hoping that Index I would be good enough... thank you! When you do your strand test do you do the nape or more toward the middle of your hair?

My hair is 4a/b ( i think) and i used phyto index 1 for about 17-18 minutes and my hair came out pretty straight.:perplexed I think i may have smoothed it for too long. I also wished i had did a strand test.

LOL OMG I forgot about smoothing! I think I will just use my fingers or a wide toothed comb to smooth so not to get it str8. what did you use to smooth?
