Ladies, what is the max you'd pay

The max without extensions probably $30, but with your hair:grin: maybe $60. That is a compliment.

I am saying $40, but I probably know I would roll my eyes and walk out. That's what made me start doing my own twist because people will still charge you a lot for no hair added.

$30, which is about the price for a wash and style at the salon I go to. I would have to get washed too. If not, I'd say $15-20 for JUST cornrows with no hair added.

$30 - $40.

Yep.

With extensions, alot of times they charge like $5 a braid, then like $15 extra if its a design, so at some shops you can pay about $50-$65 for some cornrows with extensions.

But since you dont want extensions, and want a simple design. I would pay no more than $40.

 I am cheap, too. I should've said in the OP that it will be done in a professional setting by a natural stylist.

Oh I figured you'd be getting it done by a professional. And my price still stands, long hair or not. Now if you had like ear length hair... $5. It doesn't take that long to cornrow someone's hair without hair added. These folks just have these exorbitant fees just because they can.

 Welcome to Shay-Shay's Natural Hair Care Studio where customers pay big bucks so I can get a sign outside made out of 24karat gold and drive a Benz.

NOOOOOO!!

On the other hand, Shay-Shay might hook dat hurr up gurl. :drunk:

I asked b/c I am thinking about going to this lady. I was told from the person who got her hair fixed by her that she's gentle with natural hair and very professional. She said if she wasn't she would've walked out  and I believe her. :yep: I was thinking maybe she'd charge me around $65 and I would be willing to pay if what the young lady says about her is true b/c for real, it's hard out here for us chicks to find someone decent.

I was going to get a consultation from her before I go though.

I paid $30 last time I had them done. I thought that was enough. :ohwell: But your hair is long Bubbln, so they'd probably charge more. But shoot for all that you can get a regular style.

When I get my hair professionally twisted I pay $120. My braider Yoanna(Chicago) can twist like no other. When I want neat parts and tiny twist,I go to her. I usually do my own hair because I usually wear twist-outs, I don't care about having even parts.

For professional service with, neat, tight, but not to tight cornrows that will last for 3-4 weeks with daily scarf care - 45 dollars. And bubbln, girl don't front, you know you got a lotta hair! Shoooo...

Okay, 40 dollars and a 5 dollar tip, on the forreal, is what I mean. :lachen:

Well I guess $65 is ok for quality service. I hope you'll get a wash and conditioning with this service too?

Yeah girl, get that consultation and if you decide to get it done, take pics. You know we love to  over your lovely hair.

Oh, :look: 3-4 weeks of cornrows with daily care is really pushing it for my head. Try 1 week barely.... :look:

Maybe I should just stick to my cuzzo doing box braids for 20 bucks.

Ummm :look: , malibu-bu :lachen: (your new nickname from yours truly!)

I have fear that once she washes my hair, she will change the price! Plus, I would rather handle my hair in it's delicate condition, ie, after washing cause I don't want to grab hold of some females hand while she rakes through my head. I typically wash and comb out my hair before going to the shiz-shop anyway (when I go).

Do you know how to cornrow, cause I can get it done for the low-low by you

Oh, dang, it'll only last a week?? Oh, hells nawh, bubblin - that's not worth paying for.

But then, I'm super cheap - the only time I paid for a hairdo that didn't last more than a week, I was permed and pissed.
