I have a steamer at home, my mum bought it when i was little and it still works well today. I shampoo and then put on my conditioner, put on a plastic cap and go under the steamer. I go under it every time I wash my hair. I just feel like it helps the conditioner penetrate more. I prefer it more than going under the hooded dryer with conditioner in, to me, that feels like my hair becomes to dry and a bit hard.

thanks SO much lonei for replying! really thanks:kiss:

The way that has worked best for me is shampoo, apply conditioner and sit under steamer with no cap. The hot moisture penetrates better with no cap, so I only wear one if I'm under the hooded dryer.

At the most, maybe about 20 minutes, thats if I'm deep conditioning. If I'm using motions cpr (protein), i stay under for about 10 minutes.

Where can I purchase a steamer? Are they soft or hard bonnetts? If anyone has a picture or website, please post. TIA

i didn't know salons had that! Do you think all of them do?

Hmm... I guess I should ask my stylist

the salon that I use to go too didn't offer them. I called a JC Penny salon in my area & they didn't know what the world I was talking about. The next place I am calling is Gould's hair salon.

I have never known them to be soft bonnetts, mine is hard anyway.
