I wonder if those modeling agents who tell models they are too fat or too whatever also tell them, "girl your hair won't grow because you are black," or your nose is too big or you look too black.

Oh, for sure. I don't know about the hair growing thing, though. The only stylists I recall ever being annoyed with my hair were Black ones, which is super annoying. Lie wth is growing out of your own scalp. The best were White men (I was majorly skeptical). Either way it can be ROUGH. But maybe Tyra meant anyone can grow their hair out, not just Halle b/c of her genetics. Tyra's hair appears to be in good shape. She might even have been alluding to a sea of wigs, weaves and clip ins in the studio. Idk, I'm just guessing.

I dont think Tyra saw the videos I think the people in charge of that site failed her miserably

Since they have now hired mods, two from this forum and possibly others that have not come forth yet, I think the site's format will be different.

Tyra's is not at home watching, editing, and searching online for Youtube videos She pay's people to do that

Tyra allowed her name to be used for apiece of the advertising revenues that the site will generate. Tyra has a huge following and she has the means to get the word out.

Even her haters will go to the site to hate but in turn she will win because the site only cares about the number of viewers.

i was on hiatus from lhcf so i missed the hoopla. looking at some of their vids some have good advice so it's odd that they also had these stupid vids y'all are describing.

This vid for example was pretty good in terms of advice. It's call Signature Series but it's clearly affiliated with Type F (same logo, set up, etc.)

I looked up to Tyra Banks when I was growing up...I had no idea people dislike her so much. In many ways, I still admire her.

I think the whole TypeF incident was really strange to say the least & I'm still trying to process it. To be honest, if I wasn't an LHCF member, I wouldn't know or care about it at all.

TypeF is a new website that began last year. Like any undertaking, there will be growing pains and mistakes made in the beginning. It takes time, patience, and tremendous dedication to succeed in a new venture.

When you learn a new language, start a new business, return to school after time off or do anything else outside your comfort zone, don't you make mistakes in the beginning? Very few people get it right the first time.

Tyra deserves a break. She's a human being like the rest of us.

Yet, she continues to work hard and pursue her goals, despite the criticism and challenges she faces. To me, that's admirable, and I wish her all the best.

I revoked my vote for Tyra ever since on a season of ANTM she made this black girl with beautiful long hair cut it off and told her that sometimes you have to do drastic things to become a model. And once she seen the short look on the girl she didnt like it and mad her wear a long weave for the rest of the season.

So no I dont support Tyra's foolishness as talkshow hostess nor this TypeF(uckery) BS. She should have stuck with what she's good at -- Modeling. And staying out of things she knows nothing about nor looking into background information on.

I hope Tyra has learned her lesson. I always wish for AA women to be successful, just not at our expense. She has the money and the resources to find experts in the field of AA hair wether it's relaxed or natural, so I don't understand how this could have happened. I would rather watch Naptural85, Simplyunique and the ladies on LHCF before I venture on TypeF.
