I've been taking EFAs on and off for the past 2-3 years, but I got serious and consistent about them at the end of November. I have been faithfully taking 2 capsules daily along with my 1 a day multivitamin and staying on top of my water intake.

Well, my new growth is ULTRA soft, and I am amazed at how moisturized and supple it is. It has a nice sheen. My deep conditioners are much more effective and my hair is retaining moisture like never before. Plus, I've seen a dramatic reduction in shedding and breakage. My hair is very elastic and much more manageable than before.

So, I just wanted to share this with all of you. Consuming plenty of water along with Omegas is definitely a recipe for softer, shinier, and healthier hair. :yep:

I have to agree w/ you. I began taking Omega 3,6,9 or Fish Oil capsules a few years ago when I found out they were good for dry scalp. Now, I dont' even have to use special shampoo for my scalp. It does give your a nice shine and it literally keeps my scalp moisturized. Ladies, it does make a difference.

My mom takes fish oil caplets and omega and her hair is so soft and fine. I'm going to have to purchase me some of this. Thanks.

Co-signing on the Omega 3,6,9 :yep: I noticed a dramatic improvement in my hair. Softer new growth, healthy sheen, and improved circulation. I've been taking Flaxseed Oil with all the EFA's for 3 months.

so do you take the flax oil and the omega 3,6,9 supplement?

I have been taking flax seed oil on and off. I've never been consistent with it but I hear a lot of women who take it say their hair came in much more shiny, soft, and moist.

I'm gonna be consistent with it now.:yep:

Thanks for this post Divine Inspiration! I'm about half way through my first bottle of Nordic Complete and I'm just starting to see a difference in my skin. It's great to know these will help with the hair as well.:yep:

yup there was a similar thread about this i take it consistantly, its wonderfull!!! :yep:
no one has ever told me that i was"glowing" before i was gassed, thats when i KNEW it was working:dance7::cloud9:

I love my daily flaxseed oil and I eat salmon at least twice a week which is an excellent source of EFA's. Sardines are a great source also, good for a quick snack. EFA's are also great for skin, nails, brain function and helping prevent breast cancer. Get your EFA's!!

I've been doing this for about a month now. Still dealing with dryness but i figure it mgiht tak a while for me to see results because I would never eat fish or take any omega supplements.

I have been taking flaxseed oil 2x a day for the past two months and I eat fish at least 2x a week. Not only have I noticed the change in my hair, but my skin as well. This is the first month in a long time that I didn't suffer from breakouts with my monthly.

:yep:, this is how I take mines and Omega's are the truth for me. I love it.:yep:

I just started taking it last week and my skin has cleared up alot and it's smoother.. I haven't seen the hair benefits yet because I just got kinky twists...

I just got back from Whole Foods and I picked up some Udo's Omega 3-6-9. This time of year my skin gets really dry (I'm sure I'm not the only one) so I set it in my mind to pick up do EFA's to combat this. The hair is a wonderful plus! :yep:

Does anyone know if just plain Omega-3 will work. I was looking at these Omega 3 citrus chews yesterday and came pretty close to buying them but I wanted to see if any of you ladies knew about them. The only reason I don't want to pop another pill is because I'm already taking 4 daily and don't feel like adding another. But taking the citrus chews wouldn't be a problem

I have been taking one a day of this stuff for my acne for about a year. I didn't know they were helping my hair as well. Guess I'll up my dosage to two now.

Thank you for your info! I knew for awhile that those were important for hair, but I'm in a bit of a vitamin jam. I'm already taking a Multivitamin, a hair multivitamin, extra biotin, Potassium and magnesium (because both are very important). The hair vitamins are getting expensive. Hopefully there is a good vitamin that has Omega 3-9.
