I am interested in purchasing but i have absolutely no experience with wigs of any kind. How do u hide the lace? Is it hot under there? Can u tell me what's the difference between the diff wigs? How do u wear your hair under? How often do u re-do the style underneath?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Most lace fronts are wearable with no glue. All you have to do is cut off the excess front lace (they'll come with instructions). As for styling your hair underneath the wig, most ladies usually cornrow but the main goal is to get your hair flat underneath it. Lacefront wigs are the best protective style for me because I look great every where I go. My advice, if you're considerring lace fronts, is to buy one for casual events and one for special events. Usually, the casual one will be medium to short in length and the special one will be APL or longer.

The advice these lovely ladies gave is a great start, but you may also want to check the boards at BHM since they have a whole section (actually, two sections) devoted to LF wigs. They have lots of vendor lists (so you can get the best prices without sacrificing quality), things to know before you buy, maintenance and upkeep tips, and more.

I love the lacefronts, full wigs and half wigs. I like synthetic wigs because you don't have to style every day. Yet the Human Hair wigs makes me feel like it is mine because I can curl it, spray it, comb it, and style it the way I want to. I just hate that if I lean on it too much bye bye style. :)

They are both great choices but I would just do a mix of both, just got finished washing my wig out with Fantasia wig cleaner.

I wouldn't sleep in my wig, make sure you have a wig stand to put the one your wear on. If it has a cone turn it inside out on the stand for a few days. Wash your wig as often as needed to keep it clean. Take care of your hair underneath. If you like to style your own wigs human or futura might be a better option for you.

No other advice from wig wearers? How about care? Cost? Synthetic or human hair?

You need to set your cost and see how much your willing to spend on one wig, that will determine what you can afford.

I won't spend more than $100 on a wig. That is my personal Cap!
Sythentics are cheaper for the same style. The choice is yours both are great to have. I have a mixture of both and I love both :)

It's not like the synthetic feels like plastic on your head or anything, it feels real if not better in some cases.
