I'm on the verge of purchasing their products after someone told me such wonderful things about it and reading about their products.

I need your opinion...

Is it worth the buy?

What specific products do you use?

New K-C user for about a month. I got the Knot Today and Kinky Curly Curling Custard. I. LOVE. IT! It's working as a replacement of the Fantasia IC gels. for definition.

I'm a 4a/b, fine, thin, dense...length is questionable as I had to get a reshape last month.

HTH....

Kinky Curly Curling Custard is the best product I've ever used for curl definition and length. Ever. I've been using this for 3 months - my hair is soft, strong, healthy and CUTE :Blush2: It's worth it.

(I wouldn't feel right if I didn't add that the KCCC can be a little STICKY until it dries completely. I definitely sit under the dryer til my hair is 80 - 100% dry)

I think there are only 3 or 4 products in the line. I only use the KCCC. I've tried the Knot Today and it's just OK. I still have half a bottle sitting under my sink. IMO it doesn't really work well with the KCCC - makes nasty grit balls. I use a creamy rinse instead.

Please tell me what creamy rinse you use AW. KCC! When I BC, I'm definitely getting it since you can reactivate it. IC gel never did that for me and I tried it when I was natural. I am hoping to BC in a few months so I have more time to research products.

I just ordered the TRANSITIONERS TONIC yesterday because i heard a lot of good things about this product. Therefore, i can't give you a review yet and as soon as i am completely natural i will buy the curling custard and the knot today conditioner.

I love KCCC. It's totally worth the money. Knot Today is a good product, but I think there are a lot of other products out there that can be used with the custard that don't cost as much or require shipping. I've not tried the spiral spritz or the pomade, but I'd like to.

I like the products and use the Knot Today and Curling Custard together with no probs. Knot Today detangles my hair really well and I haven't gotten the grit balls. Beware though, that using oils under this stuff isn't advised. You can use oil over it for shine if needed, just not under.

The texture while drying is sticky and off-putting, but it goes away when dry. This product actually sort of "over-defines" my hair which can be a problem because of how thin it is. I need a little puff and volume LOL

If u order, i would prolly order from www.curlmart.com The shipping should be cheaper.. Compare both sites for your area. :)
I have the custard.. only used it once, it worked well but a lil' different from what I was used to. I think i was supposed to shampoo 1st which I didn't do, so this weekend I will try it again and follow the directions this time. Anyone try the shampoo by Kinky Curly??

Think I'm gonna have to go to Los Angeles and get this stuff. I hate putting gel that hardens on my daughter's hair. From what I hear about this stuff....it moisturizes plus leaves your hair with body.
Her hair is left stiff with other gels.

I only use the KCCC. I LOVE IT.

I shampoo with Elucence when I feel a poo is necessary and rinse my hair daily. I use my regular Elucence as a leave in. I put KCCC over that & shake. It is in the 30's where I live so I sit under a hood dryer until my hair is dry. I love this stuff it is so much better than Fantasia.

It's funny because I bought Fantasia IC gel so that I would not have to buy KCCC. I tried to use the Fantasia the other day and I chucked it. As long as they don't change the formula I will keep using KCCC.

so far ive had awful results. im going to save the rest until i go completly natural. maybe i will get better results.

I like it but you don't need a lot at all. I barely put any on my hair and it still does a good job. I always make sure to mix with with a little oil

I dont use it, but those in NYC, you know they sell it at Ricky's right? I saw it in the midtown ones when I was Halloween shopping

Oh, just got it and I love it! My curl def. is sick and I only needed a little bit! I have a twa now and I can see how much my hair will love this in the future. BTW, I got mine from Amazon.com because the other websites don't ship to the post office. Mail tends to be stolen where I live, especially if it is in a little box. I'll be able to have 2-3 day hair and survive the winter coldness. It is so worth the money! I'm going to order the spiral spritz next to stretch the product. The best gel I've ever used!:yep:

I used the KCCC b4 I started my personal weave challenge & I loved it. It basically saved me from going back to chemicals. I bought mine from a salon here in Atlanta & I was very fortunate to have a product demo.

The things that I learned were:
1. Make sure your hair is soaking wet.
2. Always use a leave-in before using the KCCC.
3. Apply in small sections. A little goes a long way.
4. After applying the KCCC, rewet the section w/a spritz of water to dilute & stretch the product down the length of the section.
5. After a few days you can reactivate the product w/a little water to refresh your style.

Also, shrinkage is an issue w/my hair so after I applied the KCCC to a section I would use a blowdryer/diffuser & dry my hair (while stretching the section) about 80-90%.

HTH...

I have the same problem with this too! Still trying to figure out the best way to use it and in what combination that works best for how I like my hair to look.
