Kids say the darndest things!

So I posted twice about my hair being carusoe'd out of control today. I mean I was walking around school just looking crazy...anyway, at the very end of the day I caught one of my students kind of eyeing me (one of my girls) but you know how kids are. I didn't think anything of it. Well, I look up (ssshhhh! I was sitting at my desk) and she says...
Girl-"Is that all of your hair?"
Me-"Yes."
Girl-"No, really. I'm serious. Is that all your hair really?"
Me-"Yes. It is. Unbelievable huh?"
Girl nods and goes back to her seat.

I thought it was cute 'cuz I usually wear my hair in that phony bun slicked back and today was just a drastic difference. Just Chaka Khanish. In the hall a boy said, "Your hair is so beeaauuutiful." I thought that was so sweet! Made me feel better about myself.
Just wanted to share.

I know exactly how you feel. Everytime I get my hair relaxed, the complimets are infinite. It make me feel really nice for about a week. Then it's back to normal.

THAT'S EXACTLY HOW IT IS! People will say, "Your looked so cute last week. Why don't you keep it that way?" I respond, "That's because it's a new relaxer. It can't really remain in that style everyday. It would be too tedious." They solemnly respond, "Oh... "

Did anyone else prolong their first wash post-relaxer just to keep the style?? I know I did. I used to wait 3 weeks after I got a relaxer to wash my hair. Now I know better

i didn't... i hated fresh relaxers. my hair was all stuck down to my head and it still smelled funky. i kept it pulled back and then washed it EXACTLY 72 hours later! but the first blowdry/flat iron after that first wash... i thought my hair looked FLYYYYYYYYYYY!!! you couldn't tell me nothin!
