I tried this for the first time last night (after reading many positive reviews and after much drooling by the PJ) -- HATED it. In all fairness, I am starting to think that my hair just isn't that crazy about intense moisture and would rather have a dose of protein (hard, soft, egg yolks, yogurt, henna - doesn't matter). At $48, I guess this is going to be a very expensive addition to my stash so I'll just plan to use it to mix with yogurt or for post Aphogee or Emergencee moisture needs. All in all, I'm not doing the happy dance re this product. I can't wait 'till next wash day.
My specific results: my hair just feels too freakin' soft -- cottony-like and I don't have the luster and "weightiness" that I have gotten used to since I started going hard on the protein. It's not "mushy" like when you leave a conditioner on for too long or overprocess; my hair just doesn't feel like it has "substance." As I have written before, I have a couple of different textures going on - ranging from 3(b) in crown to 4(b) at nape. I think the 4(a/b) nape hair does feel softer and I guess that's a positive. But because most of my hair (which is now "natch-laxed") is 3(b)(c), I would rather have (and quite frankly need) the strength. Also, there is a lot of alcohol in this product -- not that I am knee-jerking over ingredients. It's just that alcohol is another thing that tends to soften hair as opposed to "nurturing" it.
