I like Joico K-Pac much better (as a reconstructor). My hair felt stronger but soft after I rinsed it out. But definitely follow up K-Pac with a moisturizing conditioner. I just tried P.M. supercharged which my hair loved immediately. I am going to make both the K-Pac and the supercharged a staple. Keraphix didn't really do much reconstructing for my hair (that I could see or feel). To me it's more like a protein conditioner for my hair rather than a reconstructor. But I am going to continue to use the keraphix (until I use it up). So I guess it depends on what you're looking for........K-pac is a stronger reconstructor IMHO.

The Joico K-Pak is beginning to leave my hair hard & dry, even after moisturizing conditioners..this wasn't happening before...maybe it's because my ends are damaged...

How often are you using Joico K-Pak? It's a pretty intense reconstructer. I wouldn't use it more than once a month.

Is the Joico-Kpak as strong as Aphogee, Nexus Emergencee, and Dudley DRC28? Would you put it in the saame category as those conditioners? I thought it was similar to keraphix in terms of the degree of protein concentration. At one time I was using the Joico K-Pak once a week ( that was what the salesperson had advised me to do )and it was fine. Now I hardly ever use it...maybe every 4 weeks. Actually, I just finished it and don't think I will purchase again. I am ready to try something else..like keraphix or dudley's hair rebuilder...whichever I find first.
I liked both, but K-Pac (as others have stated) is a much stronger protein conditioner designed to improve hair strength and condition. Keraphix is more similar to a regular cuticle-smoothing conditioner with less protein. I have used Keraphix as a deep conditioner as well as leave-in with good results. It totally depends on what you are looking to achieve. But if I was given a free bottle, I'd definitely take the K-Pac.

Tee--I'm so glad you posted this. I thought the Joico K-Pak was something that could be used every week or every other week. In that case, do you think I could use the daily conditioner on a weekly basis followed by a moisturizing conditioner?
Daviine, I think the Daily Conditioner would be fine to use on a weekly basis. Like Supergirl said, it is moisturizing enough on its own so I don't think you need to follow up with a moisturizing conditioner.
