Everyone who uses keracare products please list what you use and comments on the products. If there was something you didn't like, let us know! Macherieamour, you need to be the ring leader!

KeraCare Humecto detangles really well for me.

KeraCare Detangling Shampoo was drying my hair out too much and was not too detangling for me. I think now I will just use it to wash out my pretreatment and then use SoftSheen Carson Breakthru Shampoo to detangle.

I use Keracare's humecto faithfully every week. Love it! Detangles effortless and moisturizes for me :) BUT, if you don't completely rinse out Humecto, it will leave your hair hard because of the cones.

KeraCare Humecto~ Love it! Use on my hair and my daughter's hair. It leaves our hair very moisturized. {{{{(( I just recently started using Nexxus Humectress***for my hair only since I have highlights*** and have fallen in love with it also))}}}}. I will never give up on my Humecto though!

KeraCare Moisturizer with Jojoba Oil~ Use on my hair and my daughter hair. This is our staple product.

KeraCare Essential Oils~ Use on my hair and my daughter hair. We use this for hot oil treatments.

KeraCare Hydrating Shampoo~ Staple Shampoo for our hair.....We gotta have this stuff! It's amazing!!!!! It detangles our hair and leaves it soft and moisturized.

My favorite product in the line is the Hydrating Detangling Shampoo. I also use the setting lotion. I wasn't impressed with Humecto, at all. :ohwell:

I've tried the Essential Oils and the Oil Moisturizer with Jojoba Oil, didn't like.

HAHHA.. yeah I pretty much EAT keracare for breakfast...pour it in my cereal, use it as a body lotion, dab some behind my ears, lol.

I use everything...

Shampoo- First lather Shampoo- great at clarifying, not stripping. I use this before my Dry and Itchy Shampoo and then follow with Hydrating and Detangling Shampoo

Dry and Itchy Scalp Shampoo- I love this shampoo too! it gives a nice tingle and I noticed that its the only shampoo that cures my itchy scalp, esp when used with the dry and itchy scalp conditioner

Hydrating and Detangling Shampoo- I really like this shampoo. Its the only shampoo that doesnt leave my hair stripped or slimey ( like CON does with my hair) But I do use CON when Im close to relaxer as it does a better job detangling when my hair is super knotty.

Humecto- i could use this conditioner for the rest of my life. It smells great, detangles and makes my hair softer and shinier each time I use it.

Dry and Itchy Scalp Conditioner- I havent used this in a while but when used with the shampoo, eliminated the scaling on my scalp. After using it, I didnt have any dandruff.

Leave-In- I like this leave-in but find its a little heavy for my hair. My hair looks really healthy but I might try a watery leave-in next time

Silken Seal- Really popular item. It makes my split ends disappear and eases combing significantly

Setting lotion- I get really nice soft rollersets from this. I will dilute it for a more straight with subtle waves look and use it straight for a hard set. It has tons of conditioners in it

Essential oils- I use this right after I take out my rollers for shine and moisture- smells great.

COnditioning Headdress- Ugh I love this stuff. I use it sparingly but it makes my hair feel great. It has all the bad stuff like mineral oil and petroleum so I dotn think many people would use it but i love it.

Glossifier- This is pretty good- it gives my hair a nice shine but will sometimes looks like a just put gloss in it- not like my hair is naturally shiny. It does make it shine tho so I still use it every morning

Dry and Itchy Scalp Glossifier- I use this on my scalp after the first day of washing and the 4-5th day- It prevents the itching scalp from not washing my hair

Curling Wax- I dont curl my hair anymore really so this is chillin in my closet. i didnt care for it much tho.

Oil Blow Dry Lotion- I didnt like this to much either for blow drying, left my hair too greasy- I now and then spray it after a roller set

Oil Moisturizer with Jojoba oil- eh, I dont like this stuff too much. Doesnt moisturize and left my hair limp and greasy- I have not tried this but some use it with the setting lotion for rollersets and have had great results.

Wrap- Set lotion- I havent actually tried this yet but its in my closet- will try when Im out of setting lotion

OIl Sheen- Ordered it! Review coming soon!

Demineralizing wipes- Ordered it! Review coming soon!

The key is to use all the styling aids sparingly. I always quickly dab my finger in the product and rub it in my palms and then apply to hair. It may nto feel like you did anything but it works. With humecto- I always apply a lot of conditioner. I have the 16 oz and pop off the top and glob it on my head then sit under the dryer for 20 mins. Im sure there are tons of people with more tips, these are just my experiences with the products. Keracare for life!

.............. I need a life......

I USE THE HUMECTO WHICH I LIKE BUT I LIKE TO MIX IT WITH MIZANI MOISTURFUSE FOR DEEP CONDITIONING. I FIND THE HUMECTO A LITTLE TOO THIN AND WATERY AND THE MIZANI TO THICK SO TOGETHER IT'S PERFECT .

ALSO THE AFFIRM 5 IN 1 IS THE BEST PROTEIN CONDITIONER, IT DOES NOT LEAVE MY HAIR HARD. THAT'S ALL I USE FROM THE AVLON LINE

I use Keracare Essential Oils daily over my moisturizer. I haven't used any of their other products, but I'm very happy with the oil.

MACHERIE...I HAVE THE SILKEN SEAL SITTING IN MY PJ BOX, CAN YOU TELL ME HOW IS IT USED FOR SETTING OR AIR DRYING HAIR? I THOUGHT IT WAS ONLY FOR BLOW DRYING

I use Keracare Detangling Shampoo, Humecto and the Wrap Foam. I used to get really nice swinging and shiny hair. However, for some reason I haven't been getting that same effect. I'm not sure if that's because my hair is getting used to it or what. Maybe someone here can give me tips on this. :) Anywho, I purchased Elucence Moisture Shampoo and Moisture Conditioner and my verdict is still out on these. I'm not getting the same bouncy effects that I did with Keracare, but it's very moisturizing.

I think my hair really likes Keracare and I may need to stick with it and also add other products from the Keracare line. Or mix it with the Elucence. I am trying so very hard to get out of my PJism.

I use to use the whole line...but now I only use the first lather shampoo. Although I switched to salerm...Keracare is the ish.

My favs are:

Detangling Shampoo- This shampoo is like a detangler...very good

Humecto Conditoner
- Leaves hair very soft---It's great

Oil - Not sure of the name but its a mixture of diff oils _ I like it as a hot oil treatment or in my baggie for my bun.

Leave in - When I used to go to dominican salon the leave was great for roller sets

You all are making me want to go out and buy some of this stuff. Since you talk like it is the best thing since slice bread. :lachen: But I am trying to curb my PJism :lachen: We will see how long that lasts.

These will always be my staples. When I want my hair swinging I use these products.

KeraCare Hydrating Shampoo
KeraCare Humecto
KeraCare Essential Oils

Ditto on what has been said already. I love the results of the Keracare line. I use the following products: Hydrating and Detangling Shampoo, Humecto, Foam Wrap, Silken Seal, High Sheen Glossifier, and Leave-In Conditioner. I also use the Affirm 5-N-1 conditioner for pre and post relaxer conditioning.

I rotate these products with either Design Essentials or Elucence.

HAHAH! I really like the product but im sure its not the greatest thing since slice bread. Im sure that there are other conditioners I would like and should try but Keracare is like a favorite clothing store...you know everytime you go in there whatever you try on will most likely fit you well.

I used to try a lot of different products like Phyto, Salerm, Nexxus, Pantene but it just got tiring. I would use something and it would dry out my hair and then have to try something else to counteract that effect but that product would do something else wrong. I have two closets full of products that either I hated or eventually had adverse effects on my hair. But since I started just using Keracare- my hair slowly came back to life and is now thriving. It gets better and better with each wash. Im getting the elasticity, shine and moisture back into my hair. It took a while tho. It was just blah for like a month and a half. But now, I can see the difference. And I know for sure, it was the products that did it.

Too much switching of products made my hair really dull and dry.Now instead of concentrating on trying the latest product, I can spend all my time experimenting with different styles.

***Re: Silken seal- After rinsing out my conditioner and while my hair is still wet. I use a dime size of Silken Seal and Leave-in. It eases combing and seals the cuticle.

I use Keracare Hydrating and Detangling shampoo as well as the Humecto conditioner. Love, love, love it!!!!!!

Love Love Love the Humecto! Hydrating shampoo is pretty good (but doesn't top my CON!). Also have the Kercare Super Reconstructor, but the verdict is still out on that one.

hey macherieamour, you trying to sell any of that Salerm?

Oh, and when u use the keracare dry & itchy scalp, do you follow with the dry & itchy conditioner, or humecto. Also do you use the detangling shampoo after the itchy scalp shampoo?

Hey gurl!

Yeah I use the Dry and iTchy first and then the hydrating shampoo. Depending on how my scalp feels, I will then use the Dry and Itchy Scalp conditioner. I usually use humecto because the itchy scalp conditioner does have that kind of medicated smell and Id rather smell like Humecto all week.

Sorry gave my salerm away :(

NO!!! Get it back for me! LOL

I was wondering b/c my friend is going to trade me her dry and itchy for another one of my shampoos, but I was wondering about the conditioner, cause I never used a "dry/itchy/dandruff" conditioner.

Yeah I mean I planned on using it again this weekend ( havent used it in a while) the shampoo and conditioner really helped improve the condition of my scalp but I dint remember how it was on my hair-like if it detangled, softened, etc. I can try again and let you know if its worth the trade, if u want :) I'll let you know this weekend on WASH DAY :drowning:

They use the Keracare line at the salon where i go to get touch ups. I like the Dry & Itchy shampoo, Silken Seal, Conditioning Creme hairdress for my hairline, and the dry and itchy moisturizer for my scalp. I'm going in for a treatment on Thursday. Almost all of their clients have long beautiful, flowing hair, I've been going for touch-ups and the follow-up treatment since Feb this year.

I didn't read all the other responses, but I'll post mine.

Keracare products work well with the Affirm relaxer on my hair.

I have mixed feelings about the Keracare Oil Moisturizer with Jojoba Oil. It's thick and reminds me of Pink Oil lotion. Surprisingly, when my first bottle ran out, I bought another. I don't really use it. I think it's for short hair styles (i.e. Fantasia's hair cut)...it doesn't do well with my rollersets.

Keracare High Sheen Glossifier - I don't really see the purpose of this. It DOES make my hair shine. It's like a really really really light grease, but it's not moisturizing to my hair. Pointless.

Keracare High Sheen Glossifer Dry and Itchy - I like this stuff. It's a light grease, pink colored and has sulfur in it so it makes the scalp tingle when you put it on.

Keracare Oil - I like this stuff. It's light like water but moisturizes REALLY well. I need to get some more of this stuff.

Obviously Humecto conditioner is a winner.

The moisturizing shampoo is a winner. I will always use this.

And the dry and itchy shampoo and dry and itchy shampoo are both blue (if i remember correctly) and soothed my case of the dry scalp and itchies when I had it.

Overall, I give keracare a thumbs up.

My 2 cents.... I use the whole system. with the exception of the shampoos. I have prescription shampoo (dry scalp). I use humecto, essetial oils, silken seal, and oil moiturizer. Expensive as crap but I fell in love with the smell. I think it works so well with hair thats relaxed with affirm. BUT Im transitioning and Im not having any problems with the system yet. It is working well on my natural hair as well. So in conclusion I say if you have the money go for it! Humecto is an indulgence!

I have natural hair and I am a Keracare lover! I was informed by my beautician to use their conditioners and other products as instructed (I slept over night w/ the Humecto in and it did a great job) b/c they are chemicals and over time we can run into ill effects so I am going to be good and use them as instructed.
