I'm not natural, but I am loosely relaxed (texlaxed, whatever) and I go a while in between relaxers. My hair loves it, new growth AND processed. I'd even venture to say that my new growth sometimes likes it more than the rest.

I'm natural, type 4 hair.

I tried the Keracare Humecto in the bottle and I found it sufficiently thick but it felt like it just sat on my hair and rinsed off with no benefit. I used it for a week straight leaving it on for 10 minutes then rinsing. The second week I used it I would sit under the dryer with it on. Finally, I tried using it as a leave in alone and then mixed with coconut oil. The coconut oil mixture was ok, but not good enough to justify me repurchasing Humecto. Overall, I found that when my hair air dried, it felt like I hadn't conditioned it at all.

Another thing is that I detangle with shampoo so that when I apply conditioner, I can run my fingers through my hair to coat all the strands. Humecto gave me no slip at all, as a matter of fact, when I would run my fingers through my hair to apply, it almost felt like it sucked the moisture out of my hair and caused some tangling.

I also have used Nexxus Therapee and Humectress and while these are very moisturizing products. I had the same problem with slip when using Humectress.

FYI - My staple conditioner is NTM hair mask.

this is interesting
i love hearing the critiques

Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask. The container says its a weekly treatment, but I use it whenever I wash my hair (on average twice a week).
