I bought this on Saturday at the hair salon figuring that my hair looks so nice when I leave the salon, that it should work just as well for me at home. Right? WRONG! Man, yesterday I used this stuff to seal my hair after using my regular moisturizer and it just made my hair heavy-looking and greasy . . . it's not cute at all (in both the literal and figurative sense). I'm thinking that I will give it one more try, but not anytime soon. I am so mad. I purposely got my hair done this weekend so that it would be nice for thanksgiving and here I am having to wash my hair to get this gunk out.

Grrrr!

How much did you use Glib? Also is your hair really fine? I have this product and can only use a few drops or my hair is greasy or weighed down.

If the product still does not work for you. Try the Design Essentials hair oil it is lighter.

GG,

It was too heavy for my hair also, and I only used about 1-2 drops. I ended up giving it away in favor for WGO:yep:.

Awww, I hate it seems your hair doesn't like this stuff-- it's my staple oil! I definitely only use an actual dallop, and my hair is semi-coarse, so I don't know if that's the difference. Oooh, and if you bought it directly from the salon I'm sure it wasn't cheap... Did you apply it before tying your hair up, or during morning styling?

In the evening before rolling my hair . . .

Sounds like you either used too much of the product or you didn't rub the product through your hands before applying it to your hair.

Rubbing it through your hands and then working your hair, from the scalp and down through the rest of the length, should do the trick.

Essential Oils has alot of natural oils in it, so its a greasy/slippery product.

Sorry it didn't work out for you. I can't believe it because this is one my staples, too, and my hair drinks it up. I never get a greasy feeling. My hiar is very thick and coarse, though. Try using a little less and rub it well in your hands first before applying it, as someone else suggested. It's very rich and I can see how it could be greasy on finer hair. (Although, it seems like it would melt in after awhile - that's what it does on my hair. Everyone's not the same though.)

If all else fails and you want to get rid of it, drop me a PM and I'll take it off your hands. :)

I like this product. It is heavy though. It's good for putting on your ends when you're wearing protective styles. Or using a small bit is nice on rollersets.

Aww, sorry to hear that it didn't work; I absolutely love that stuff. A little definitely goes a long way, though.

Yes, I love this oil too. You have to make sure to use a little. A little really does go a long way.
