I got some products from the world natural hair show. One thing that I know that is big with this brand is the scent. but they are soft to me. Once I start using the products, I will come back.

Long post ahead

I've been using KBB on and off since '08. I use:
  • Hair Ambrosia
  • Sweet Nectar leave in
  • Ultimate conditioning shampoo
  • Hair moisture mist
  • Poo bar
  • Luscious locks mask
I will say - when I first started using her products back in 08' the consistency was different. Her formula has def changed some, but not necessarily for the worse. I will say, I notice a slight difference in the hair nectar and hair milk (ambrosia) it had a little bit more slip and moisture back then. Her products were also a little more heavily fragranced. The Luscious Locks Mask also was PERFECT for me - now, I can do with out it. I don't necessarily 'need' it. The one product that changed for the better for me, was the Ultimate Conditioning poo, when I used it years ago, it tore up my hair. I remember telling Karen about it saying how abrasive it was. Had my hair feeling like straw. Now, her conditioning poo is not as abrasive and I like it. At first, it felt kinda weird on my relaxed hair but that poo agrees with my hair. I use it, and then follow up with my conditioners and my hair is a match made in heaven.

I also like the poo bar, I recently went on vacation and brought it with me. I like it better than other poo bars i've tried. Something about her formulation agrees with my hair.

I will say, I don't necessarily need the hair ambrosia and the hair nectar. I use the hair nectar as a leave in on my wet hair, and I use the hair ambrosia during the week once in a while. The hair nectar is supposed to be lighter - I can't say I notice much of a difference.

I love her new moisture mist, I'm on my second bottle w/ a third one in the fridge . I use this to spray my edges and then I'll slick my edges down, I can also use this to spray throughout my hair, I can also use this a liquid leave in if I want. It's a product I will continue to repurchase.

What I like about her leave ins and conditioners is that they are not heavy at all, they are detangling and yet moisturizing - for me. I'm not a butter and heavy cream type person. Her products work very well on my relaxed hair. Her original Luscious Locks mask was the bomb.com for me. She's slightly tweaked it some. Her products are pretty pricey, but I'll spend the $$ for the ones I really like - the poo, the poo bar, leave in, and moisture mists. When I first tried her products, I was using her stuff pretty exclusively, but the prices were a bit of a deterrent so I'd use other natural based conditioners (Giovanni in particular).

I was a fan. I used her products and liked them. Her customer service was horrid. After a yet another rather minor but unpleasant experience, I unsubscribed from her emails and moved on with my PJ ways and my PJ money.

Has anyone tried the nectar ?
I noticed vegetable wax is pretty much in all her products ...
