for braids? The last time I used Kaneklon hair, I had to constantly put whatever I could think of to put on my scalp to ease the itching!!! I used oil, grease, conditioner, braid spray, I shampooed but nothing worked! I had to wait three weeks in order to relax because I had scratched my scalp so bad! What other kind of hair is appropriate for braids? I don't get them very often, so I wouldn't know....:) In fact, this will be my third time in my life!

did you remove the base when you wore them the last time? If not, that is probably the reason for the itching

Yeah, I think Robin said some people can be allergic to the coating so to remove it dip it in Vinegar or something.

I read an old thread on this. LondonDiva made a suggestion. Let me see if I can find it.

this just happened to me :( :( :( I took the braids out after a week.

I think I am 100% allergic and I pre-soaked the hair in vinegar.

I just dont think cornrows with fake hair are an option for me. It was pure torture!! They were real cute though  ...lots of compliments...but torture.

go onto the CAG site growafrohairlong.com and look at the video. The video shows the step by step guide to removing the base

Thanks so much ladies! I will definitely try removing the base. I have seen that crown and glory video, but I did not know that removing the base was necessary! I will buy my hair on Wednesday and do this. Does anyone know how long the hair takes to dry after the vinegar treatment? And how do you keep the hair from tangling?

When purchasing commercial hair many times we have allergies to synthetic hair versus all natural human hair. I would look for 100% human hair. Make sure that the guarantee that is what you are purchasing. They will try to sell us anything that looks pretty.
