Just had an epiphany...

Okay. Been on my HHG for about 8-9 months now, everything has been good and the health of my hair is at its peak but today, I flat ironed and looked in the mirror...my hair touches only about an inch and a half above APL. I couldn't believe it and kept staring for a good 10 minutes, I still can't believe it. I never thought my damaged, overprocessed hair could be healthy again much less grow to such a length. This just motivates me more to keep on what I'm doing, I'm just so excited for the future of my hair and wouldn't dream of quitting now, at the beginning I so wanted to give up. I just can't believe it, people are even starting to notice the growth which makes my head bigger, (SO in particular) I'm so on cloud nine.

Either way lovely women of LHCF, when I do get around to getting rich and famous I will certainly remember ya'll! Thanks to everyone who helped me from the start and encouraged me not to give up, don't know what I and my hair would do without you all. Thank You again.

For The Newbies: If you want to give up, DON'T! Patience is Virtue and thats enough said.

I concur! A year ago, I can remember looking into the mirror in my apartment, and I was just so down about the state of my hair. When I got to lurking on LHCF in September '08, I was really at my wits end! I told myself that if I saw progression I would join the site, and here I am. All of you ladies (and handful of gentlemen) are really the best. The turn around I had in one year has truely made me a believer! Because of LHCF, I not only helped my hair, but I have also influenced my best friend AND my mother to go natural, because they see the progress in me. Even women I am around who are relaxed are asking me for tips. I love to share the wealth.

To all the "real" newbies (the ones who are just beginning their HHG) sit back and enjoy the ride, you will thank yourself a thousand times.

Right now I am texlaxed, about to embark on a 4 month stretch and do a corrective to go back to relaxed, I actually transitioned to texlaxed on accident...lol.
