And they are just sitting there. I really not happy with them at all. I want to get them cut and styled. Maybe I will feel differently about them I hope. Should I go to my stylist or shop around for someone else. I was thinking that my stylist might be upset being that she will not be getting any money from me for a while. And the cut will not come out right. I plan on using s curl activator spray ogr carrot oil on each braid and every 3 days rinses. What else should I do. oh yeah the braider did not do the braids tight at all. Can anyone suggest a sylist that I will be able to go to in the Harlem area? Thanks

Go ahead and go to your stylist. I've never liked my braids (when I had them) until I had them cut and styled. The ladies at the braid shop could braid some hair, but they could not style.
Now I'm bored with them and I can't see my hair. I'm bumping. Thinking about taking them out. But I have been keeping them moist with s curl and then I put ors carrot oil(creamy) on each braid every three days. I'm bored
hwell: I did go and get them cut and styled. Very nice and I'm seeing that long hair is alot of work. Some of the braids are slipping out and there are no hairs that belong to me attached to them. lol. I have about 1 inch new growth. I can't wait to take them out. How much longer should I keep them in for? And when I do take them out how long should I wait before doing my touch up?

How long have you had your braids in? two weeks? im looking at the date of your first post.
Well, im in braids too(med micros), my braider did not do them tight, but they are firmly in place(without the pulling). I have had them in for 4 weeks now and I want to go another 4 weeks till the end of June.(im using the crown and glory technique)I cut mine as well, they are just above bra strap, the drying time is reduce when they are not as long.
I use infusium 23(when i wash) and scurl activator. Daily i use the african pride braid spray(im running out of this and plan to get the scurl spray)> i have been washing once a week with diluted shampoo(keracare) and rinsing every 2nd day.(started rinsing with distilled water- use 2-3 jugs of distilled water to rinse)
I do get bored some days , the good thing is i have not used heat, or bothered my hair for the 4 weeks i have had the braids. i got between 0.5 to 0.75 of growth so far (i checked this weekend by taking out one of my braids)I wish i had more growth, guess my hair just grows slowly.
