I LOVE YOUR HAIR!!! How did you do your color? Is it just bleach or did you use one from a box? Just beautiful!

I used an auburn and a medium golden brown as my base colors (Loreal and Clairol box color) and I added a few chunky highlights (bleach) to the crown area and toned it with a cool ash blonde semi permanent color.

Here is a youtube video that you can use to get the same results.

Love the texture its so cute how you have 4a coils but they have hang nice job with the texlaxing:yep:

L:love2:VE the color, what brand of color did you use? Hows your hair holding up with it? Any issues or set backs because of it? If not, whats your reggie on how to keep it healthy?

I used Loreal Feria Auburn Brown and Clairol Perfect 10 Medium golden brown. To be honest I am quite surprised that I still have hair on my head because of the bleach. LOL!! But I try my best to take care of my hair by cowashing daily (wash and go), washing and deep conditioning once a week and also doing protein treatments once a month.

That sounds great what kinda protein treatments are you using? Did you have to change up the products you were using once you colored?

I really like Aphogee reconstructer or just a plain egg and I recently added Tigi Dumb Blonde and Joico reconstructer to my regime. I pretty much use the same products but I try to use more moisturizing shampoos at the moment.

Okay cool I have that thanks for the info. I really want a change and would love to try a bold new allover color but I'm terrified of suffering a setback:perplexed

I just wish there was someone that could guarantee me that my hair will be okay and continue to thrive:ohwell: as long as I follow certain steps but no one can do that so I'm tryna find people with hair types close to mine and see what they did......how do you maintain the vibrance of the colored hair?

You are welcome!! It is nice to change it up sometimes when you get bored with your hair but bare in mind that coloring your hair is still like applying a chemical so your hair can become very fragile and will require lots of TLC. So if you can keep a balance of moisture and protein in your hair, you should be fine.

I don't really do anything special to maintain the vibrance of the color because it's going to fade anyway eventually after a few weeks and you still have to touch up the color when you have new growth. But I try to use products for color treated hair and sometimes I apply a clear semi permanent gloss for shine.
