I have recently decided to do away with the weaves of this world, due to a horrenous allergic reaction to my last sew-in, and take a more natural approach to life.
No weave = pj overnight!
This week (and to be honest the last week of May) I have bought enough products to last me till the next millennium. Along with the products I already have, my grandchildrens' grandchildren should be set up too!:
The entire range of aphogee products (part band-wagon induced, part dire need for some sort of protein treatment to strengthen my hair)
sulphur 8
jojoba oil
jamaican black castor oil
IC fantasia shea, cocoa and mango butter hairdress (I must say, I LOVE this product)
IC fantasia heat protector spray and serum
Aloe Vera gel
Mane n tail detangler
Aside from hair products, Ive also purchased:
an FHI platform 1" flat iron (I am intending to go completely natural, but I thought I would at least like a good tool so I could have the option to straighten if I wish)
an FHI hair dryer
numerous wide tooth combs and a denman brush (for some reason, I thought this would be incredibly hard to find in the UK, but its not)
This newbie is becoming a PJ too.... Since being a member I have bought: Joico K-Pak reconstructor Joico moisture recovery (entire line) coconut oil ORS V05 Biotin MSM This past weekend I purchased: Aloe Vera Juice Glycerine Suave
In my mind I know that is enough but now I find myself sitting and wondering what else do I need???What should I try??? What has LHCF done to me???
carols daughter kizzy stay put pomade: i really like this. i use it on my edges and it makes them smooth and curly at the sme time.
africas best herbal oil: i have not purchased an oil that wasnt from the health food store in so long. but the ingredients are great. i like it so far.
Whew!
I bought way too much stuff this week, I've only been on this hair care journey a little over one month and already I'm sure I've spent about $400.
But this week alone I bought:
Hesh Heenara
Hesh Neem
Tulsi
Henna
Coconut Milk
MSM 1000MG
Aubrey Organics HoneySuckle Rose Moisturizing Conditioner
Kenra Moisturizing Shampoo
ORS Olive Oil Replenishing Pak (Deep Cond.)
Lemons/Lemon juice
Peppermint Oil
I have become a product junkie, and am severely addicted. I have a wish list of stuff I still want to buy but hopefully I'll have enough will power to wait until I run out of the stuff I already have.
Hmmmm.... let's see. The only thing i bought is some Suave conditioner for my con-washes. I usually con-wash more frequently in the summer, so i stocked up on that. I think thats it.
The only thing I think I will probabably pick up is some more Generic The Detangler from Sally's or try to find a liter size of the Paul Mitchell The Detangler. I've been loving this for my conditioner washes.
Welll, I don't have a Whole Foods near my house, so we (hubby, kids and I) decided to drive down the way (35-40 mins) to go to one, among a few other stops. Oh...em...gee.. I can't say enough good things about that place. I just about lost my mind I kept it in control though and for my hair I picked up some Giovanni Direct Leave-In, Aubrey HSR and restocked my supply of Kinky Curly Knot Today. Can't wait to wash my hair now
Sabino Moisture Block x3
-I'm broke but I couldn't let my coupon go to waste since I know I'll want to straighten at some point (especially my bday in Sept)
I'm done with new stuff until I start my new job. No buy challenge (restock only) until August.
