When (as in month) do you think is a realistic expectation for me to reach APL? TIA...

ETA: I know hair is stretchier when wet like this...

I think you will be really close to it! Are you using any growth aids? How much ng do you have so far?

Thanks for the fast response. I use MT and I just got a relaxer at the end of September and will get another at the end of November. I don't have much NG right now but it will explode in about 2-3 more weeks.

Thanks ladies. Your responses line up pretty well with my expectation. I was thinking I would be APL by May or June of 09.

realistically, I would say 6-8 months. I'm almost APL and Ive been there for 4 months it seems and it's longer than yours. It's just a tough stage, but you'll get there.

Full APL in about 6 - 8 months.

You'll probably be grazing apl in 4 months.

I took the fact that your hair is wet into consideration.

I would say to give yourself six months. That is more than enough time and it gives you some room to get a SMALL trim if you need too.

But if you really want to make it there in short time, I would say do protective styling and you will probably be in between APL and BSL and won't need a trim.

I say 6 months, just b/c you may want a trim or so. But it does seem like you ony need like less than 3 inches. Bun for a while and you may get there faster.

Thank you so much ladies. I was giving myself a goal month of June so that is about 8 months from now. If I bun, my hair will grow a lot faster so I think I will start doing that again. That is what got me from neck to shoulder length in a good timeframe (those fake buns from the BSS...my saving grace!) Also, I have really taken a "hands off" approach to my hair. This has really helped me retain length believe it or not. MT has helped me get past the shoulders in the back. That stuff is no joke for real...I love it.
