Taking me back to the good ol' days. This was a staple shampoo while I was growing up, but they lied about no more tears :swearing: Anyway, I haven't been too happy about the shampoos I've been using recently and scooped some of this up. I purchased the one with honey in it. I hope it doesn't dry out my hair or make it 'squeaky clean'- I hate that feeling.

Maybe you should lace it with some real honey and a little oil. I use this in my daughters hair and it gets it really clean. But it is not that moisturizing for sure. If this doesn't work for you. Have you tried Castille soap? I use Dr. Bronners Peppermint or Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean Face Wash with Tea Tree Oil and Awaphui when I want my hair really clean but not stripped. These both are gentle for me if I dont use these I use CON. I don't use castille soap on my daughter cause I don/t want it to get in her eyes. She likes to get her hair washed for now.

Yeah, I've tried Dr.Bronners and this was what I was referencing the stripped feeling to. I may try the Desert Essence.

If the Dr. Bronner's stipped you then I wouldn't recommend the Desert Essence because for me it cleans better. So does baby shampoo strip you? It strips my daughter but I don't mind since my mom uses grease and my daughter plays rough. If the Johnson's is to harsh maybe you can make it more moisturizing by lacing. I hope it works out for you.

Well, I'm not natural but I wanted to chime in and give you my advice.:D

From what I hear, baby shampoo's PH is waaaaay off from regular shampoos. I hear that it is designed to remove dirt, grime, and even little spects of craddle cap from babies/kiddies.

Personally, I wouldn't use it, especially seeing that you are natural and you need the extra moisture.

I found baby shampoo to be very harsh and stripping for me. It was very drying. You will probably have to add some things to it.

ITA w/ Mizani also. The ph is way different than normal shampoo's since it's used for cradle cap and such.

I agree. It's astringent, and that can be VERY drying to the hair. Have you tried Elucence?

No, I haven't tried Elucence-girl, I am cheap!! I am surprised I purchased that dang JandJ shampoo- it was $3.57!
I assumed that since I grew up on that shampoo, it would be okay for me to try. Thanks for everyone's input- I will be passing the bottle right to my hubby:lol:
I was using Creme of Nature Shampoo but stopped because a beautician once told me that it coats the hair and makes it heavier and limp. I may go back to it though, since it gave my hair that 'lovely feeling.'
