Just ordered this online at vitacost.com and got a few bottles since they were 3.99. I've read so many raves about it on LHCF that I just had to try it but are you deep conditioning after poo or pre-pooing with it or co-washing or all of the above. How do you get the best results from this conditioner? Thanks in advance ladies and happy new year! Oh, I also have the same question about Aubrey organics honeysuckle rose conditioner which I just bought at the health food store yesterday. :D

Hi! I don't have any information for you but wanted to bump your questions for responses! I am sure that someone will give you the 411...:)

i have used both jasons sea kelp and the aubrey's.

jasons was good but when i discovered the aubrey's HSR, i gave my daughter the jasons :D

i have bought at least 7 bottles of aubrey's to 1 bottle of jasons (which is still half full).

i also "think" the jasons has a cone in it (need to look at my bottle to confirm, brb).

eta: the jasons has cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone in it (typing this off the bottle). the aubrey's has none.

the jasons is thinner (still thick but nothing compared to aubrey's HSR or the GPB) - and although it works well, i like the way the aubrey's makes my hair feel AFTER it dries much better than the jasons.

prolly not much help but there it is ;)

Thanks LynnieB!! Actually this is very helpful:lol: because I needed a comparison too. Your hair is very pretty!! How do you use the Aubrey's HR
conditioner, as a pre-poo as the bottle says or as an after poo conditioner?

awwww thanks Blessed :)

to answer your ?'s

in a pinch, if i've run out of aubrey's GBP, i'll go on and use the hsr and it works GREAT!

i can and do use both products {that's prolly why i go through so much of it LOL} as pre-poo or deep conditioning after a poo, although i prefer the scent of the HSR over the GBP :D

i also have used them with heat and/or a plastic cap without heat. the hair seems to absorb the conditioners in either case.

one thing to remember with aubrey's HSR and GBP, don't expect instant super-slip (i know you know what i mean here). they work a bit differently than most regular conditioners and are EXTREMELY thick - just follow the directions and let the conditioner soak in and soften your hair then rinse it out.

if your hair is very thick and you wash and rinse in sections, take your time and apply the conditioners in sections and give an extra coating to your ends as well as all hair strands.

tangles should be very easy to separate and your hair will feel very moisturized and soft.

I use Jason Sea kelp.

I use it both as a deep conditioner and regular conditioner. My hair is usually pretty soft even now (9 weeks post).

I love it I also use the biotin shampoo and conditoner as well

I use it as a deep conditioner for about 30 mins with heat. I like it. It makes my hair really soft.

used to use it. no didn't buy when i ran out b/c i was trying too many things:lol:

liked it a lot though. used as a regular conditioner.

Sea Kelp: I've actually only used it once. It saved my hair after some horrible product made it feel dry and hard. It made my hair nice and soft again. I keep meaning to get back to it to see how it works without a handicap. I have high hopes. If Black Cardinal drops by, I know she'll testify for this one. It's like her favorite.

Honeysuckle Rose: This stuff is awesome. One of my staples (which is something coming from a PJ). It's always under my sink. Really leaves the hair with moisture that lasts.

I use the Sea Kelp con as a DC, and I love it. It makes detangling a breeze for me, and my hair seems to retain moisture the weekly following use of this product.

I'm planning to give the HSR a try sometime later this year, but I've got tons of product to go through before I can experiment with anything else.

I use it as a deep conditioner with plastic cap and heat under a warm hooded dryer for like 20 minutes to an hour. Love it !

Boy, now I really can't wait for my order from vitacost.com to be delivered. I'm going to use the Jason's sea kelp on my next wash. I'm at 13 weeks post relaxer trying to go much longer so I need all the help I can get :D.

I'm sitting here now with the Jasons sea kelp in my head under a plastic cap. I smells great and is very moist. I'll get back to you with the results after rinsing and drying.

Ladies I forgot to log back on and give a review after rinsing this stuff out . It is an awesome moisturizing conditioner. I have since gotten a touch up after a 14 week stretch but when I used this I was 13 weeks post relaxer and my new growth was outta control and this Jason's sea kelp straightened me right out. I used it as a deep conditioner after shampooing. I love it and I love the scent so I am very happy that I bought 3 bottles from vitacost:lol:. Try it you can't go wrong. It kinda reminds me of nexxus humectress which I also love.

I used Jasons sea Kelp a few months ago and hated it it is the first con that I ever returned. I exchanged it for AO HR which I love.

I thought I had killed my inner PJ until I read this thread....Grrrr :ohwell:
