Girl, I am sooo glad you started this thread cuz everythime I see her siggy I am in awe!!! Yeah Jasmin, your hair is beautiful, girl!

thanks so much, so1913! :)) i LUV your hair, your pic has officially made me want to cut my hair this summer. i know you're going to curve salon this summer, they did a great job on your previous cut! i don't know if i want to pay those prices but i might just to get a good cut! anyway, all twists can look good once you find the right products! those twists were done with qhemets amla and olive oil heavy cream, the softness and shine it provided was really the BEST i've ever used!! trust me, other twists i've done before didn't come out as good!!

Hey jasmine26, I love your twists too! I too wish my twists would look that good but my hair is too short and uneven right now. How did you get your cut/shape in such a way that they lay so perfectly???

Thank you lady! Don't go choppin all your hair off though ;) Did you do them yourself? Are you in the NY/NJ area??? Girl, if so, you may have to hook me up! LOL!

thanks poohbear,

my hair is also layered and uneven:( the front touches my shoulder when streched and the back is at apl. so to solve this, i just twist the longest section(back of my hair) wet so when shrinkage kicks in it falls to my shoulders. and the shorter sections(the front) i usually stretch by blowdrying first than i twist dry so the twists falls to my shoulders. and VOILA! the illusion of even hair because most of my hair then falls at my shoulder!

so1913, yeah, i did that hairstyle myself, i wish i did live closer to nyc i'm about 3 hrs away in upstate ny:(

I agree I Love those Twist everytime I see your signature I am like WOW!!! I just can't wait until I get some more length so I can do those, but I only have a Twa so I have a while to go!

But your hair is very Beautiful and Inspirational!

Really? That's so strange! That's so neat how your uneven hair appears to be all the same length! :)

wow:)) thanks a lot ladies!!!!

poohbear, yes its the beauty of being natural! i'm now using the once frustating concept of shrinkage to my advantage! styling my hair this way has allowed my to go without doing a major cut! however, i am due for a cut soon!!! my summer routine will be simplified with a good cut!

ot: ladies, i 'm taking down these twists today and i need an alternative to blowdrying my hair to stretch out the areas that are shorter. i'm trying to be good on the no-heat challenge! any ideas!?!

first of all, i would like to say that jasmine your twists are pretty i wish mines looked like yours, and i want to know where did u get the qhemet amla olive oil heavy cream?

@naturallyme, i ordered my qhemets amla heavy cream from www.qhemetbiologics.com. the best place to order (quicker shipping and use of discount codes)is from curlmart @naturallycurly.com but their always out of the heavy cream.

@tropicexotic, thanks i will try to use those stretching techniques today!

They're beautiful!! Suggestions for longer twists in front with no blowdrying...When I make my twists smaller in the front and put a rubber band at the roots, until they dry, they are longer. It also gets rid of the puffy look and gives me smooth roots. Does that make sense?
