I'm trying to use up my stash, I bought jamaican castor oil a while back and have used it occasionally as a pre-poo. Are there any creative ways to use it.

Thanks in advance!

A friend of mine just bought me some back from Jamaica, I was so excited because it's the pure stuff, unsalted and unbleached. Anyway, I oiled my scalp with it last night, greenhoused and co washed this morning and my hair is softer. She told me that she uses it with a reconstructor every week for herself, daughter and son's hair every week, I'm going to try that as well.

This is how I use JBCO & HBCO:
Apply to scalp like old school grease

Mixed with Ayurvedic oils & apply to wet hair as sealant

Mix 1/2 teaspoon with deep conditioner

Mix with gel & use to twist or braid

Mix with leave in conditioner of choice (OH Hair Dew) and apply as moisturizer

Mix 1 teaspoon in a 8oz spray bottle with Ayurvedic tea & Aloe Vera juice as refresher

Sent from my SGH-T599N using LHCF

It's very good for sealing and deep conditioning. Like the other ladies mentioned using it directly on your scalp is also good. Helps hair to grow in thicker.

I use it directly on my scalp, edges, mixed with other oils, conditioners and with a steamer.

When I had the REAL deal I applied it to my strands and my hair was strong and thick. I haven't see any in north america since that stands up to the west indian jbco.

On scalp, on wet hair, mixed in conditioner, edges, mixed with other oils.

I do like the JBCO extra dark best since its thinner and easier to work with.

I use it once a week on wash day to seal in leave-in. JBCO has been in a staple in my regimen for years, relaxed and natural.

It's also great at laying down edges. At night: I usually moisturize my edges, dab castor oil over them, tie down with a scarf and in the morning I get nice smooth & moisturized edges.

This thread is right on time. I just ran into a friend who had the softest natural hair and she said she only uses water and jbco. I used to swear by this stuff so this is another sign I need to go back to using it.
