I actually just started this, and have been using it for a week now. :) I have naturally fine-textured 4a/3c hair and have been trying any and everything to thicken it up. MTG has done wonders for it...... but I swear, i am on a serious mission to achieve BIG, full, thick hair, Kenya Moore type hair. I mean, that really may never be possible, since my hair texture is a genetic thing..... but im willing to try everything that i "heard" works to thicken up hair.

So............... its too early for me to tell now, but i'll keep you posted, girl.

My friend told me to get it and use it with my MTG but she doesn't know if it related to her thick hair. I'll get a bottle and see what happens.. Thanks:)

Biotin and b50 complex will give you thickkk hair!

I have some, won't be repurchasing again though. I cool, but it isn't any different from reg. castor oil IMO.

It's very thick, but the ladies here told me to cut it down with another oil. Works perfectly. But it's so thick it causes breakage when I apply it. Not good.

What results did you get from this product.

I LOVE IT! I actually got a bottle of it last week since I live close to Sam's..I was sooo excited that I tried it immediately. I poured some out in the cap and used my finger to apply it straight to my scalp and my roots (im about 8 weeks post)..In the one week that I've been using it...it has ALREADY thickened up my roots. Trust me..it feels like I'm 12 weeks post:eek: ! I also did one of my weekly DC/rollersets lastnight and mixed about 4tbs of into my DC...sat under the dryer for at least 30mins and washed it out with some NTM conditioner...WOW..my new growth went from dry/crunchy..to soft and stretchy:D After that just did my reg rollerset and when i took those jameez out...bouncy/moisturerized/soft curls..I even did my DBO on those roots..and it was sooo simple. I think im gonna stock up on this stuff! Its great. Also next time I wash..think I will try it just in my leave in like MsFallon..I will be sure to give an update.

Today makes one month of me using this product. I love it!! I agree with Kristie21, after about 1 week my roots thickened up. I use it on my scalp and ends at night about 2 times a week. After I unwrap my hair in the morning its always really soft and shiny. I wish there was a store around my area to get it so I would always have it.

I love it and mainly use it as a pre hot oil tx mixed with Jojoba oil for 20 to 30 min with a heating cap before my protein treatments.
I also mix a little with my Suave Milk & Honey for co washes and it works great.
I apply it three times a week to my scalp after surging.
My stylist and I have noticed that my hair is thicker than it was two months ago.
I also take Freeda Biotin and B5 I know these vits has helped also.

I use it and LOVE it! I've been using it since February. I don't apply it to my hair directly, tried it once and it was really sticky. I use it in most of my products. I put a little in my shampoo (any shampoo other than CON cuz its too good to be messed with), then I add it to my deep conditioner. I use a variety of deep conditioners: Sunsilk Hydra TLC, Motions CPR, 3-4 Cholesterols (any kind mixed with glycerin and jojoba oil), Sedal (use this on my mom's hair not mine), and Pantene Intensive Moisture. I add the castor oil and some glycerin to each of these and sit with in for as long as I want. I also put it in my leave-in conditioner but I add a little bit first and then add more cuz if u use too much its a waste of product cuz u will HAVE TO throw it away or you will have sticky hair. mix it with water and my leave-in. Just added it to my S-Curl, but only a little. I also added it to my Sunsilk 24/7 creams: Anti-Esponja, Hydra, and De-Frizz, no water added though. I have an oil mix that I use as an anti-humectant that consists of glycerin, a little (2 tablespoons) Organics Oil, the carrot oil kind, jojoba oil, olive oil, and coconut oil. I also pre-poo sometimes (when I remember) with the castor oil mixed with EVOO and some Sedal (to get rid of it). I think thats it...i'm always preaching about the JB Castor Oil so if I forgot anything anyone feel free to chime in:)

Oh yeah I forgot, I mix a little with my serums for a better anti-humectant effect.

Thanks Ladies,

I purchased it today, I put a tiny bit on my hands , rubbed it in my hair then I used a water mist and my hair was immediatly soft..:). I will definitely use the regimes that ya'll posted..:).

Do you mean just buying straight Biotin vitamins and straight B50 vitamins? Because right now I take Hair Vitamins that include these ingredients..... but perhaps thats not enough??!!!

It made my hair feel softer, but I put it in my conditioner, so maybe it was the conditioner, lol. I didn't like the smell, though, it smelled like wet paper to me. I like it, but I'm not sure if I'll repurchase it.

CynamonKis, you can purchase the JBCO from www.sams247.com.

I like it. I noticed that it keeps my hair very soft. It is a better quality than the clear one I get, and I have to order some more.

I love BCO!!!! I haven't tried yet on all of my hair because it is so sticky. But, I use it on my ends and it does wonders with my ends (their not as see through anymore). I also use it on the sides of my hair wear it's really thin which is about the only time I use in on my scalp. I also use it on my nape where it was hardly growing. It is starting to thicken up my sides and my nape is starting to grow nicely.

I bought the BCO a few weeks ago and have been applying it several times a week, straight from the bottle just to my scalp on all the thin areas (I have some very, very bad, gasp-worthy thin spots from more than a year of acute stress). I also added it to my NTM conditioner to see if it softens my hair.

I LOVE the softness it's given my hair.

But thickening edges and turning around dormant follicles in a matter of weeks hasn't been my experience. I've read that, at least for hair regrowth, castor oil needs to be applied diligently for months. I'm giving it 6 months, because I have a feeling that this product might do what none of the others have done--help slow or reverse my thinning.

I'm also working to get a handle on the stress. We'll see in time if the black castor oil REALLY works for growth, because I'm probably the ultimate test subject.

Well, shoot..I didn't see this thread before creating my new one. I just bought 2 bottles.

I can attest to its magic, I consider myself the BCC poster girl. I have been using this gem for 14 yrs and when my stylist opened his own salon he did not carry it. Didn't my hair know the difference?! My nape hair thinned out and my hair did not do as well overall. Thanks to joining this forum I found it again locally and via mail order and over the past several months since I cut my hair from shoulder length bob to graduated wedge it grew back healthy and then some. My nape hair is thriving, my scalp does not severely itch like previously and my hair is growing back fast overall. This is the main staple of my hair regimen, I apply it to my conditioners and use it as a prepoo treatment. Since my hair is growing back I am switching it from a prepoo to postpoo treatment applying it warm to my scalp and nape only and then applying my deep conditioner and a plastic cap with hot towel. It's the best:)

I have a twa that leans on the dry side. I find my hair looks good when I apply ample Black Castor oil on dry hair and scalp at night, tie it up and rinse or even just wet it in the morning. Doing this keep my hair from breaking. It is so soft and I haven't put anything in it today, only last night. I do this a few times a week when I don't want to CW in the morning.
