Hi ya'll

Newbie (& long time lurker;)) with a question: Does anyone know of a product that works like this? I love the way it doesn't get hard and acts more like a pomade but I can not take the smell!! I used this a long time ago and the front of my hair grew long from it. Now that I am coming out of braids, I am looking for an alternative.

thanks :D

I agree, I love it too but hate the smell.

I have not been able to find anything that compares.

The others just aren't as good, IMO.

I just try to use it sparingly.

I used this on my dd's hair when they were really young. Don't know why I stopped. It worked well, and held the hair in all the little ponytails that I put in.

I use Let's Jam and don't mind the smell at all. But, I second Koffie on the Smooth n SHINE. I noticed the Dominican salon I went to uses it. I checked it out myself and it seems so similar to Let's Jam that I didn't buy it (trying to avoid being a product junkie).

I didn't open it, though, so I don't know how it smells.

My daughter uses the Let's Jam and I have the Smooth n SHINE and I'd say that they are comparable. I may be weird in that I never noticed a smell with either one.:look: I guess I'll have to go home today and sniff them.

Have you tried QP Glaze? I ditched the Jam and never looked back. The Jam kind of melts after a while and runs down your forehead. :perplexed

It does this especially when it's hot. I hate that!!

So I'm hearing let's shine and QP Glaze. Any other recs?

Let's Jam Gel is hella greasy, I'm surprised nobody mentioned that.
I like Fruit of the Earth Vitamin E Gel and Long Aid Curl Activator Gel.
Great Hold, Moisturizing and Not Greasy.
