Hi all. I've been so bored with my hair, and wanted to give it a break.
I didn't want extensions though, but I wanted the versatility of single braids.

Well, I just done them in my own hair! It took about 7 hours, and I'm quite pleased with them. I can put it in a ponytail, and a lovely updo too.
So any naturals who are feeling a bit bored, try it out.
Link is in my siggy :D

Nice! I have so much respect for ladies who can sit for hours and braid or twist their hair  I'm just way too lazy.

I like your box braids! Your hair is really coming along, as well as your skin too!

Happy hair growing, fellow natural sista! :)

Loves it!! (In my best Paris Hilton voice ) I did this to grow my hair out. When I started my hair was shoulder length (maybe a little bit longer). Now my hair is about 1" from my waist. Just be careful not to put too much product at the roots to avoid buildup. Also, I used a clarifier (Redken Cleansing Cream) and let it sit on my hair for at least 5 minutes -usually 10 minutes so I wouldn't have to worry about buildup.

Aww thanks ladies. You know it really didn't seem that long really. I put on the first season of Dark Angel, and I was good to go!

Thanks for the tips LiLi. I'll keep it in mind. How often did you wash your hair?
