I realized today my hair sets the best with water and serum... nothing else.

What kind of serum do you use Vevster?

I have been trying to find one that I can add to my regimen. So far I have tried:
  • Neutrogena Triple Moisture Healing Shine Serum
  • Chi Silk Infusion (I am not sure I like the Chi yet; I can't seem to get past the smell)
I just ordered Jane Carter's Hair Serum online and my SO uses Sebastian's Laminates ICE Drops that I am going to try.

Interesting...no leave-in conditioner?
I use a detangling condish in the shower but it rinses out. I then put my serum and use my spray bottle. I use Aveda's Brilliant serum but want to try Keracare's Silken Seal.

i have some keracare serum i dont want anmymore....

serum give a great airdry, i just find i cant use nothing else to moisturize in the week as it either sits or breaks the ends a lil

I love Proclaim Color & Heat Protectant serum, from Sally's Beauty, mixed with a dime-sized amount of coconut oil. My sets turn out shiny and bouncy.

Ah ok. I may try that. I just set my hair w/o serum, and I thought a/b you. I used Kenra Daily Provision and Joico Leave-in Protectant foam. Really nice results :D

LESS is More, ladies! :yep:

Thanks for sharing this Vevster. I haven't tried just water and serum to set my hair. :scratchch

Although I don't set my hair very often, setting with serum can provide a wonderful roller set. I've only done it a few times, but the results were always awesome.

I use Aveda Brilliant Emollient Finishing Gloss, the bling is blinding!

Mine too! I use a leave-in, then spray Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum diluted with water for my set.

Aveeda Brilliant is the truth. It's light and provides great shine.
