Braids and weaves are a NO GO for my hiar. So after more than a few mishaps and setbacks from braids I finally let it go but for the past three weeks I was wearing a sew-in (for the first time) and I took it out last night. Not only did I get a lot of breakage, but my hairline also thinned, so this is my 2nd setback of the year. And the sad thing is I was really taking care of my hair underneath both the weave and braids. I am tired of saying I'll leave the extensions alone, yet always going back to them because I'm too lazy to do my own hair. Now I'm on a No extensions challenge, I don't care how hard it gets I will be leaving my hair extension free and taking care of it. Because of all the setbacks I really haven't seen any progress :( . Now I have appointed my sister and my friends to kick my behind if they see me with a weave or braids for the next 8 months. It's going to be so hard, but my hair needs me to do this

I've tried weaves on two occasions and each time took the weave out after a couple of days. I've concluded that for me, they very bothersome to wear. Have you tried a wig as an alternative?

I had a problem with braids and breakage, but not sew-ins.

Sorry to hear about your setbacks, you will make a comeback in no time, now u know what doesnt work for your hair.
