hi ladies,

hope everyone is having a great Sunday. i have a problem. ever since i was a teen, the top of my head has always hurt. like if i press the top middle of my head, it would feel sore. these days, it's become really itchy, and i'm getting bumps. they heal, but it's just so itchy. have any of you had this problem before? what can i use for it? i was thinking about using a mixture of Tea Tree Oil and EVOO to see how that works. :)

I was dealing with that sore scalp issue today *I've been using castor oil everyday. Every now and then I get a severely sore and itchy area in my crown. It has all but gone away now. I use Nexxus Vitatress Shampoo. Its a DHT blocker and it removes sebum.

Sometimes applying castor oil to the area causes this too - so if castor oil can cause soreness, I try to keep in mind other things that might do the same thing.

I should've gone to a dermatologist years ago when it first started. I would advise going to a dr. about it - it may be affecting your hair's density.

Have you been to a doctor or a dermatologist about the bumps?

i haven't gone to a derma. i should though. the bumps don't have liquid in them. they are more like how mosquito bumps are. maybe they come because i scratch LOL. i'll look for a derma in this area. i'm sure the DFW has plenty! LOL

A few things I use...

A) Qhemet's Amla and Olive Oil Heavy Cream

B) I took HB Castor Oil and added Eucalyptus, Rosemary, and Peppermint EO to it... Very soothing

I had the same problem. Had to go to a doctor for it too and I had some type of condition that I don't remember the name of now. I got it ever since I started swimming when I was young. The ONLY thing that EVER worked after trying almost everything was KeraCare Dry and Itchy Scalp Conditioner. Saved my scalp and it actually healed my sores. My condition reduced and almost disappeared, I'm not using it now but I plan to go back to it just to keep a healthy scalp. It doesn't strip the hair like other dandruff product lines and it has a very tingly and invigorating sensation when it is applied to the scalp, LOVE IT! If you've used everything I HIGHLY recommend this product. It's a holy grail/staple that I will forever come back to and always repurchase no matter the price. THAT is how much I believe in this product. :yep:

ETA: The reason why I've said that my condition almost disappeared because it only comes back when my hair is growing at the crown and very front of my hair and not as horrific as it once was. Oh and that's after MONTHS of not using it so that's how good it is. :yep: I don't repurchase it because it's VERY hard to find in Toronto and I only find it in a certain salon in downtown Toronto. I always forget to buy it when I'm actually downtown anyway. :perplexed The Korean BSS near my home has it but for about $5-$10 more since the one in the downtown salon is always reduced in price for a special. $5 cheaper when it's not on sale and more if it is. So I'll decide when my PJ stash is reduced where I'm going to purchase it. Trust me, it's a BLESSING and heaven sent for your scalp. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
