:nono: I am 6 wks post, 4a/b very thick. I brought a dryer last week 1875 watt Ion thinking that was the problem. I was using a 1400 Golden N Hot:look: Dont laugh, er body can't afford Pibbs

Anywhoo, what's your longest drying time ever and what were using/doing to your hair?

Sorry to hijack but what did you think of the Ion dryer overall? I bought it on Friday and haven't used it yet.

when i was relaxed it took 3 hours (sitting up under the dryer with high temp setting) this is when i used to get rollersets or flexi rodsets. i was using keracare wrapping lotion.

Sorry for the late reply. I really like the Ion, when my hair is finally dry  it is very shiny and frizz free. It is a very good hair dryer for the price...IMO :yep:

I have an Ion dryer that I bought from Sally's. I don't like it. The back of my hair and some parts of the sides don't dry well. The Gold n Hot was worse. It really takes me about 2.5 hours to dry if I can take it that long. And I dry on high.

I am going to end up getting a soft bonnet. I hope that does better.

When I was using my Gold N Hot, it would take me 2-2.5 hrs to get dry when doing a rollerset. I would have burns on the side of head from the clips. :-(

i once sat almost 4 hrs under the dryer in rollersets at the dominican salon. Neer again!
Girl i can't afford the Pibbs either :lachen:

See, I should not have come into this thread. This is why I don't rollerset, it takes too darn long! I bought Hot Tools Ionic 1875 Watt hood dryer, I have not used it ever, have had it several months now. I wanted to do some hot oil treatments and maybe a rollerset, but my hair is so much longer than when I did rollersets in the past, darn! I can't afford a pibbs either.

You give me hope with this update on the dryer. I do have a rollerset to get through this coming June. Thanks.

I think an hour and 15 min isn't that bad! Which ion dryer is this?

I got it from Sally's...the Ion with the blue hood. I wish I could upload a pic for you, but I am at work.

At 45 mins I am itching to be done....I can't help it! 1hr is a lifetime to me

Me too. I ended buying a new Pibbs dryer, and it still jumped out too fast, so I think it will take about 1.5 hours as opposed to 3 under the Ion.

It used to be 2 hrs and 15 mins (with medium 1 ½ rollers because the big ones would not fit under it) with the Gold –N-Hot. With the Pibbs, now I use the 3” rollers and my drying time reduced to 45 to 1 hr on 50 degrees.
