Ok I have the henna on my head right now after my 100 and 1 post in the last 2 days. It wasn't as bad as I thought but I have my half wig on standby in case my hair is green or bright red/orange.

I mixed it with the henna ( not sure how much), a spoonful of yougurt, a small amount of alma power, a couple of squishs of cocunut oil, some v05 conditioner and enought warm water to make a paste. It was about the consistincy of a relaxer. I used a relaxer brush to apply.

I will like you know what it looks like after I rinse and shampoo.

I'M GLAD ITS WORKING FOR YOU SO FAR. BUT WITH YOUR MIX I DONT THINK YOU'LL COME OUT WITH GREENISH HAIR, OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT, JUST ONCE YOU USED BAQ, YOU SHOULD BE FINE. WHAT BRAND DID YOU USE?
AND HOW LONG DO YOU PLAN ON LEAVING IT IN?

I use Afshan Mehndi Henna that I got from a Indian Store here in town. I was going to leave it on for about a hour. Is that enough time?

ARE YOU USING IT FOR COLOR OR JUST FOR STRENGTHNING AND CONDITIONING PURPOSES? IF ITS JUST FOR THAT THAN AN HOUR IS FINE.BUT IF YOU WANT A LITTLE COLOR YOU SHOULD LEAVE IT ON LONGER

No I am just going to conditioning and shine purposes for right now. As the summer and warm weather come about I will probably want a little color.

Ok I raised it out and did get alittle tangling. I lose about a ball of hair ( it turned out to be about 40 strands) it scared me to death. I thought something was wrong. But when I counted them ( yes I counted). Now I am itting here with my DC hoping that I don't lose any more hair.

Re: It is on my head right now...It wasn't that bad - UPDATE

Ok it's the next morning and my hair didn't change colors.:D in fact I don't see much of a color change at all. That is ok because I wasn't going for color just yet but conditioning.

All in all, it was a bad experience. I will probably continue every 2 weeks. Next time I am going to shampoo my hair first and apply the henna on clean, damp hair and see if I like that better. I may also let it stand a little longer. The first time around I was a little wary.

Does your hair feel more conditioned?

Yes it does, I probably couldn't DC longer but for now on this will be a Saturday thing so that I can leave my DC in longer. My hair isn't as soft as I expected.

From what I've learned in my research and experience, it takes approximately three days for color to truly show up due to oxidation. The first time I put henna in my hair, I couldn't really see a color change. A few days later, when in the light, my hair had a pretty auburn tone to it.
