That would be my first AND last visit there. And ole' girl would not have gotten a tip! Sorry, they can take her tip out of that outrageous price!!!

Mmmmm hmmmmm!!!! I totally agree with that!

Just went to the salon this evening. Here is what I got: relaxer, deep condition, blow dry, and flat iron for $85.

And to think I was flustered about my fee going up from 45.00 to 50.00. lol

That is just insane what she charged you. I wouldn't have paid her all that. I would have paid for the amount (100.00) that I knew of up front. All the rest, she would be explaining to her manager. That is just not a good practice.

I have never in my life heard of such a thing, $170 something bucks for a t-up/blowfry/and flatiron  that service should have taken you to your next goal length. Shoot it should have included a pedi and a manicure atleast, you sure you didn't get a back massage or something with that. And let's not talk about a tip, they should have tipped you.
Now what is all this about blowdrying your own hair at a salon you came to so you didn't have to do it yourself,   , Now that is just GHETTO as all get out.

Even though that is WAAAAAYYYYYYY too much money for a relaxer and a blowdry and flat iron, some salons do charge extra for it. Usually when the stylist keeps asking if you want a service, they mean that it is going to cost extra. $52 for a blow dry is outrageous, but you can ask if you can do it yourself at an empty station. Also, you don't always have to go over with a flat iron if you blowdried.

$208??? that must be some gold and diamond infused relaxer and tools they used! i usually pay $65-70 for a relaxer around here (including the tip).

I live in MD and the most expensive I've seen for a relaxer and set has been $120. But I of course stopped going to that salon after they increased their prices. I wouldn't have given her anything but the prior agreed upon amount. Sometimes when I'm in the salon and I notice they tack on an extra five or ten dollars, I'll just tell them well I only brought the amount you gave over the phone and they always take it with no questions.

Sorry to say this but,

I can't believe you actually payed!! :nono: I seriously think she was playing you. I can't imagine NO stylist putting that on me. Iwould have seriously walked out giving her 50 bucks.

She took advantage of you KNOWINGLY. I guess stylist know who to pick with.

Personally I think the name of the salon should be posted. That's madness. For $60 bucks I get a relaxer, deep conditioning, roller set, and my eyebrows done.

Girl shooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot that's just madness. I'd complain to somebody to recoup some funds.

If it get's me out of having to pay a suprise extra $52, I'd do it.
