Instead of sitting under a steamer can you just be in a steam room and get the same results? the same question for a sauna,( but I don't know if I am brave enough to wear the shower cap in the sauna lol.) - Two birds one stone sort of thing.
for the steam room, its similar but not quite the same I have to get up close to the vent thats blowing the steam in the steam room to feel like Im getting a true steamer experience and sometimes I think it may be a bit dangerous.
But for a quick touch up of moisture I like to go in the steam room with some AOHC/BRBC or any other creamy thick product, when I get out I seal with a light oil lile walnut or sweet almond
For the sauna, I would advise against using a dry heat sauna, wet heat should be ok
ETA: I dont wear a shower cap in the steam room or under the steamer, in fact you shouldnt
Used to do it all the time. Wash my hair there, slap on conditioner, put cap on and go. When I sat down and looked around, other Black women was doing the same thing!
If you are self concious about the cap, omit it. I sometimes used to do that but make sure my hair was kept wet (if using dry heat).
