Yeah, I agree that it looks too blond. She looks better with the darker hair. Now about these net wigs, is it like a regular wig, just glued around the hairline? I think I might be able to live with that...I'm going to LA in a few weeks, and I was thinking of getting something done while I'm out there b/c the hair places in Miami are a hot a$$ mess!

I agree. The hairline is way too solid, straight, and full to be her own hair with extensions. It's definitely a wig.

i don't think she is trying to be barbie - she is doing something different. she apparently liked it since she wore it out of the house so most likely she doesnt care what anyone has to say about it . and that is the way to go.

I love tyra in anything. i love the hair color. i think she can get away with it, altough it looks like they brightened her skin tone in the picture, nomally she looks darker than that. or maybe the hair is making her look lighter :| either way the head shot looks good.

I think most of people with dyed blonde hair look like drag queens. But I think Tyra pulled it off though on this picture.

I think it's those net-type wigs that a lot of celebs are wearing now (ie: Beyonce).

The front is a net which is glued to the front of the hairline and it looks very real.

I also believe she is wearing this same wig in America's Top Model.

She was at the Golden Globes yesterday and she is now a redhead which is definitely better than the blonde. I have to agree with you it looks like she is wearing those net-type wigs.

Just wanted to add for those who don't know about the NET type wigs, here's a pic of Beyonce with one:

I think these wigs are great if you want to give your real hair a rest. Unfortunately if a picture is taking of you in the wrong/right lighting, you can see where the net begins on the forehead.

She has had a wig like this at the VMA's and in her Pepsi commercial.

In general if you see a celebrity with hair that appears to be all the same length strands all over, then it is usually a net wig.

Honestly,I have to wonder- why blonde? I only know of one race that is that blonde naturally. I know Tyra has to compensate for her forehead with new hairstyles,but sometimes I think her overall look is very Eurocentric.

Oh I have seen people that are Black with blonde/red hair,but when I think of blonde hair off the bat,the Black race does not come to mind.

I really don't think it looks that bad on her! It's a little too "white girl" for me though. But actually, she's rockin it better than a lot of real white girls do! I've seen a lot of hideous black blondes, so this is a real improvement!!! And Tyra's not light-skinned, but she has an undertone that is complimentary to the color and also the blonde isn't that gold/red type of blonde, it's an ASH blonde that tends to be better for people with Beige (light)tan (Tyra), Brownish skin tones, and deeper brown skintones. I'm not crazy about it, but I think she's slightly pulling it off! I LOVE Tyra though!!! So I'm probably a little biased! I LOVE her hair color on her models show! Very attractive and complimentary for her!
