is three inches enough to make a puff?

When you pull your hair up, how much new growth is in the ponytail / puff section?

For me, I had to get at least 5" to make a good puff. But that was just my preference. I wanted a big, high pony puff. I'm sure your hair could make a puff at 3" It's just a matter of how high it is. HTH.
