I was trying to do no heat from May-Sept but I am giving in :( I live in a very humid climant (louisiana) and I am sick of wearing my hair curly this summer. My hair is natural and I would like to wear it straight but I don't know how to make it stay straight and not frizz in this heat... Have any of you been successfully or do you just not even bother..

thanks for the help

Yes, I used Lustrasilk's straightening spray and that keeps out the humidity after using the Macxiglide (MG). Now if you're natural sometimes the MG can make you revert. So just use a blow dryer and flat iron of choice.

The other products that work well to keep natural hair straight for (me) are Redken Smooth Down and/or Paul Mitchell Straight Silky and/or Loreal Bow Straight lotion (cheapest).

Those all worked for me when I was natural. Now I'm texlaxed and enjoy the best of both worlds. I can wear the wash n go or silky straight relaxed (but thick) looking hair.
