I do this with giovanni from time to time since I normally use the direct leave in , I future there isn't much of a difference. My hair is wet when I do this, so I guess you could say I mix with water. Never had any flaking issues

Some natural conditioners can be left on the hair with little residue ,but i don't find this practice as beneficial as it may sound . JC Too shea made my hair gluey and crunchy

To all you ladies who leave in, doesn't it cause residue and flakes?
Do you dilute? Or use as is?
Monaleezza I use Darcy's Botanicals Pumpkin Seed Conditioner all the time. No residue or flakes. It is a very, very thick conditioner, but I don't dilute it; I just put a very small amount in my hair.

I use this conditioner as a DC, rinse-out and leave-in.

herbal essence hello hydration or honey im strong both worked extremely well as a leave in for me.

I use Tresseme Naturals straight up as a leave-in, and diluted in a spray bottle as a daily moisturizer. No residue, and no flakes...just super moist hair.

I do this with Aussie moist, tresemme naturals, and Shea moisture deep treatment masque all the time. My hair loves it no buildup or flakes and my hair is super soft. Lately I have been CW everyday though too but when I was washing my hair once or twice a week I didn't get build up either.

I use Nexxus humectress or HE HH as a leave in as well. I quit buying leave ins (was a big fan of NTM) but this is sooo much better and my hair feels awesome! :yep: I mixed a little jar of humectress, vitamin E oil and broke open some flaxseed oil capsules i needed to use up, and add this to my ends only :lick:

my hair says "meh" to about 99% of conditioners as rinse outs...but loves when i leave them in. i like to rinse my hair thoroughly with water and then use conditioner as a leave-in instead of rinsing it out.

i do condition wash about once a week...where i use the conditioner as "shampoo"...and then rinse it...but then i add conditioner to my hair as a leave-in because even after condition washing, my hair is like "blah!" if i dont.

i'll do the rinse & leave-in conditioner thing about 1 or 2 times a week.

inbetween i moisturize with a spray bottle of water, various conditioners and oil.

my hair seems to prefer regular conditioner as leave-in/moisturizer over actual leave-ins & moisturizers

Same here lamaria211 i use bee mine conditioner. I figure if it is going to stay in my hair i'd like it to be as closed to natural as possible. I don't like playing with chemicals; when they say rinse off i DO rinse off. Although some natural products can be just as damaging if stayed in contact with your skin too much, i would rather take the chance with something natural and organic. So let's be careful.
