So, since starting my hhj, l have found that my hair doesn't react to the popular methods on here. For example moisturising and sealing, l hear so much about.

I fine hair and so far l have ditched the denman brush, as l think it was causing a lot of splits. And I have changed from co washing to loo poo and l don't seal. Only moisturise, which for me is going well.

So do you m&s or do you just moisturise? What other things do you do that are not popular here but you get good results.

I don't always seal either. I like to use a butter to twist for the shine a bit of hold. But once I do that in wash days I usually just moisturize as needed (usually once a day). I have some great oil based product that I like to use, but I do very well with just a good moisturizer.

No, when I first started my natural hair journey with a TWA (actually started with a shaved head) I used to M&S, but now I rarely if ever do it. Some other things I may or may not do...

Conditioner wash on the regular: I do this while in twists, but not when I wear my hair out. I just shampoo and do a deep conditioning every 2 weeks.

Use heat: I used to stay away from it because I heard it was bad, but it's actually good for my hair. Not too much, but I would use it once a week to once every two weeks with no problems. If anything, I will have problems if I don't use heat or keep my hair in a very stretched style.

Take vitamins: I don't take them. I know a lot of ladies do and say they get good results, but I'm kind of lazy about this. Plus they make me so hungry! So, I don't take them. I still get the same growth and retention rate as I did when I used to take them years ago. I think...

I know there are some other things, but I can't think of them right now. I do know, now that I'm shoulder length I keep things pretty simple now.

I'm relaxed and I don't do it. For one, I haven't found a moisturizer I like (well, I found one and it's expensive and not for sale in my country, would have to buy online) and 2 I'm too lazy and not consistent. I do DC every weekend though.

Heck no. I do one or the other. Moisturize or seal. Too lazy for both. I rely heavily on products with oils in them, or maybe ill add oil on top of hair that was moisturized the day before. I just dont like getting oil all over my hands or having oily hair
