Is it a human one? It really depends on the texture of it also. If it's a straight one, you can spray a lot of water on it and comb it (or use a wig brush) from the bottom up. After you do that, you can put alittle oil on it and let it dry. If it's a curly one, you may have to get a new one because I don't think you can ever get that original, nice curl pattern back once it gets raggedy.
I wash mine with shampoo and use Motions Foam Wrap Setting lotion on straight and curly ones. I've had this one curly one for over a year. It really snaps the curls back into place and makes them look like new.
If you use it on straight hair, it will restore the set and make it last longer. I just used it on a wig last night that had def. seen better days. I put the foam wrap lotion on it, wig brushed it and made a real cute side ponytail. No one would have known I've had that thang for a while!
