that does not involve putting the hair at the beginning of the braid
does that make sense?
the reason i ask is because it is WAYYYYYYYYYY easier for me to
take my rollies out when i have extensions in but I hate that bump
at the beginning of the braid when you put extras in. i feel like when
it is just my hair there is a danger of it starting to loc as apposed to
when i have "helper hair"

yes it makes sense, ive been getting my hair done this way for the last 7 months, i go to the african hair braiders, they start off by braiding my edges and then they add the pieces in a they go, im not sure how they add the pieces in bacause im usually not facing the mirror (im not sure what its call either). I tried to upload a pic of my braids but the file was too large.

well at least i know it can be done now i have to figure it out
as a last resort i can use the individual braid method once the
cornrow is at the base of my head, do you have editing software
can you resize the pic?

I have a pic in my "various styles" album. This was done at an African salon.

At the places near me, they call it the "feed in" method and they charge a lot more for it...bastards it's not harder than the other way!

Yes there is a way to do this. They usually start the braid with your own hair and then add the hair in as they go. I like the way it looks because I can't stand that big knot at the beginning of cornrows. Ms. Kenesha, I do not understand why they charge so much for this. I pay a lot for my cornrows but I guess it is worth it. I need to learn how to do them myself.

I go to this place that does the "feed in" cornrows like Kenesha said they start with a little hair and feed in more they look like cornrows youd do with natural hair

Yup, that's it!!! They start off braiding your hair and add it in the same way they would as if they were putting the hair at the beginning.

Really, your braiders charge more? the people that does my hair charges the same price like when the do the regular cornrows, they only charge more for the size. ChocolatePrincess your cornrow looked very nice in the picture.
