thing as hair being too moisturized? I ask this because my hair is really, really loving the poos w/ the Keracare detangling, and the humectos conds. My new-growth is sooo managable, but its time to relax again. Is this a bad thing if your hair is too soft? It's so soft it feels so delicate. I'm not use to hair this soft. Is relaxing super-soft hair bad? Althought the new-growth is managable, I dont want the differances in textures to weak havoc on my progress and start to snap, I learned that lesson the hard way.
Please all responds and welcome.

I wonder about this too honeycomb. My hair began to feel this way this week and I rushed out and bought GPB because I thought I needed protein to return some of the strength. I have it on my hair under a plastic cap right now. My hair was also feeling "delicate". Hope folks respond to your post...

I remember reading somewhere that if your hair is too "mushy" feeling that it's too soft. Maybe a cream reconstructor would help without making it too hard???

I believe it can happen. Before I joined this board,I knew NOTHING about using protein to strengthen, so I would just moisturize with moisturizing shampoos ( ie. Keracare humecto )My hair was really soft and puffy and I didn't know why. Now I still use my Keracare, but I also use protein to strengthen! I'm interested in what others have to say.

I did a protein tx w/ some Organic Hair Mayo yesterday, but it still feel the same. Maybe its because I washed w/ the Keracare poo

I worried about that also. That's (one of the reasons) why I wouldn't moisturize my hair for 3 or more days prior to a touch up.

I am putting a lot of protien in my hair b4 I relax instead trying to over moisturize it. I want my strands to be really strong instead of toooo soft... Ill save that until after I relax

This past weekend I used dudley's cream protein moisturizing conditioner. This stuff is really good. It gives you the best of both worlds. It's a little pricey, however, worth it. I wasn't disappointed.

Prettygirl, Aubrey Organics' GPB has been described as being both a strengthening and moisturizing conditioner. I use UBH Conditioner and it has both strengthening and moisturizing properties, not to mention the lovely tingling of peppermint which feels oh so good.

LeKair Cholesterol also falls in this category, I believe.

Is there a conditioner that has both protein and moisture to balance out each other

In my opinion Nexxus Humectress provides this.

Thanx ladies for all the replies. So, I'll just give the moisturizing a break for a few days before I relax.
You ladies are the best

I think so. When I was using Salon Selectives Drenched Conditioner, I noticed I was losing more hair during detangling. With my last shampoo, I didn't use it and just that quick, I had less hair coming out.

Oh no, I'm not experiencing any shedding or breakage. I was just worried about the softness and relaxing hair in that state.
