Is there a Black Women Hair Boycott on Sept 01?

Not sure whether its just avoiding synthetic hair, not supporting non-Black shops/brands or what, but word on the street is that we are supporting BLACK ONLY for the full month of September!!!

This post apparently started it.



Anyone heard about this? Everybody on board? I'm stocked up (and quite a few of us pjs are), you've got about a week to get the stuff you can't live without.

I also have enough of anything I would need to see me through a few months, and I don't need to buy anything during the month of September. My wallet welcomes this

I've seen a few videos in YT and Insta about this. It would be great if everybody go on board, unfortunately, I just don't believe that most people will. It would take for EVERYONE to participate for this to work, I've heard people say they're down, but still make purchases, because they forgot, ran out of something or didn't think their abstinence would be noticed.

Let's hope that the majority engage with the challenge,.and the impact is felt. We probably spend the most money on our hair and products. It would be amazing for us to put a dent in the market, to get the respect and recognition that we truly deserve.

On a side, I will have to create a reminder so that I don’t forget, and make any random or impulsive purchases lol.
