is the main and tail detangler leave in a protien conditioner?

i have a feeling it is. when i first applied it was so soft but ive been using it a lot since i brought it last week.my hair was feeling a little dry earliar today. im a cowasher so when i cowash i use aussie moist, but i didnt cowash yesterday i just sprayed the detangler and twisted my hair friday night. im dcing right now
 
What are the ingredients?
Water (Aqua), Dimethicone, PEG 7 Amodimethicone, Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail Leaf Extract), Larrea Divaricata (Chaparral Extract), Tussilago Farfara (Colts Foot Flower Extract), Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut Seed Extract), Spiraea Ulmaria (Meadowsweet Flower Extract), Trifolium Pratense (Clover Flower Extract), Fragrance (Parfum), Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Trideceth-6, Hydroxycitronella, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Limonene, Linalool, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone.

It might be the 'cones (ingredient #2 and ingredient #3) which are giving off that feeling. Cones have a tendency to block moisture from the hair, hence the dry feeling. This is exactly how I found out that my hair doesn't like products with 'cones:wallbash:. And if I DO use them, the 'cones have to be wwwaaaayyyyy down on the list - Definitely NOT #2, and #3 on the list of ingredients.

maybe if i use this ill only use it with aussie moist or use the conditioner and not the detangler

Wow you read my mind... I was thinking the same thing yesterday cuz my hair just didn't feel right whne I used it. I was like I wonder is this Ok to use everyday. I think I wanna look into finding another detangler... A moisturizing one.
 
Yep, it's definitely the cone. PEG 7 Amodimethicone is water soluble, but Dimethicone is one of the heavier cones and can quickly buildup and cause dryness and breakage.

I'm with baddison, I'm not using a product with cones unless it's down on the list. I've noticed since limiting my cone usage, my hair has been a lot softer and more moisturized :yep:

so this isnt a really good leave in im guessing
i should return it
i wonder if the conditioner has a lot of cones in it. i dont even know if this even detangled my hair lol

If I may ask madam... What detangler are you using?? I need to look into getting a new one.:grin: Hopefully its at Sally's so that I can exchange it.
