Is texturizer more gentler then relaxers?

Ladies, are texturizers more gentler then relaxers or do they work the same? What has your experience been with either of the products?

u know my aunt told me that texturizers are, but I'm not 100% sure, I have used both and didn't have any problems, but my hair is too thick for texturizers, that's why I never continued them. I would think they are gentler because I was told texturizers just loosen the curl, while relaxers straighten your hair, so I'm assuming they are gentler than relaxers but don't quote me, but I never had a problem with a texturizer. Texturizers (are supposed to) take longer to process the hair, but if left on long enough they can, and will relax bone straight and possibly even damage the hair through over processing. Take the same precautions you would with a relaxer.

If you have fine hair, it could relax more strait than a person with thick hair. If you want to slow the process down further, you can add silk amino acids to it like some do to relaxers to texlax. I have used texturizers in the past and my hair did well with it. Unfortunately, I had no idea how to retouch them and ended up relaxing with a lye relaxer.
