I know that the company is Dominican, but Dominicans can be of any race. (And there are many blacks in the Dominican Republic).

Does anyone know the race of the owners?

Silicon Mix is made by Laboratorios Rivas. The company is based in D.R but I'm not sure if the current owners are black, or even Dominican. There were two Rivas brothers at an event I went to in D.R and they were Italian, white.

Most Dominicans are black but do not really identify as black, by the way.

I wouldn't be too concerned with the race of the company owners. If your heart is telling you to support minority owned businesses, in the U.S., Latinos are a minority, whether they're black, brown, white or yellow.

Dominicans have their own culture, so it's difficult to compare them as black or white with our American understanding of race.

^^^Exactly...it's just so....sigh. But if you are concerned about political things, please know that the D.R. oppresses Haitians within its nation.
