Is it better then Affirm? I was thinking about using this for my next touch up. I am going home for the HOLIDAYS /images/graemlins/clap.gif and I need something to get my hair straight or else my family will clown me the whole trip /images/graemlins/rofl.gif.
I have never had great results when I used and many of my friends didn't either. Very harsh relaxer. It is not better than Affirm.

Dang Kaddy fo real! What did it do to your hair?

I had it applied by a stylist for a while and it made my hair very hard and my hair broke off. A lot of my friends experienced the same thing and we all had different stylists.
Affirm is a good relaxer too! It is much more gentle and contains conditioning agents. Don't feel like you made a bad decision /images/graemlins/nono.gif! Affirm is a great choice /images/graemlins/smile.gif Just be sure to thoroughly work/smooth the relaxer if you want straight results. I most recently used a Motions Mild (no lye).

Skee have you tried Affirm if so was it better then Revlon?
If not what relaxer do you use?

Atlien, I've never tried Affirm. I use Revlon Realistic in regular (I did use super, but it was a waste of time, it didn't do anything for me differently).
My mother used that relaxer on me and the name stuck, so I use it now to texturize.
My mother has used Revlon Realistic Lye Relaxer for many years and it works very well for her. I think she used to use mild when she colored her hair but switched to regular now that she doesn't color it. She uses it about twice a year and sometimes I apply it for her. I don't think she's had any problems with it. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
