I got a sewn in less than a week ago and can already lift my cornrows up some. The braids are still very secure but how can my hair have grown in only 5 days?? I want to believe it has but don't want to get hype for nothing. So can anyone offfer any thoughts on what other than growth could it be.

BTW- I've been popping msm and biotin(trying to become consistent)

did you use spray or something liquid on the braids cuz that can lifting.

Nope, Haven't put anything at all on it?

I've had that happen. Last time I had braids about a month ago I had enough new growth to move them around by the end of the first week. I say don't question it, just enjoy the progress! I was surprised though.

It's really hard to say until you take your braids out. I am always redoing my braids even though I do braid securely but I know it's not coz my hair is growing. If you plaited a cornrow and then tugged on the rope part a little over time, it'd move farther from your scalp even though the rope itself would feel firm and not ready to unravel.

When wearing a weave, the additional hair is tugging on that rope part so it would not surprise me if the "lift" you are seeing is just the rope being pulled away from the scalp, which would tighten the cornrow rope part and make the weave feel firmly attached and secure.

Hey, your hair is growing if you didn't put anything unto the scalp or braids. Consider that good that your hair grows fast.

I think it can also have to do with the braids slipping a bit
