Is MTG Really that Good?

I'm still on the fence about whether I should try it.

Is it really that good? Has it been pivotal in speeding up your hair growth? Could you have acheived your present length without MTG?

I used it on my edges before when they fell out due to tight braids. I didn't get any growth from it. It stinks and I don't feel that it's worth your money.

If someone else posts saying that they got this many inches and that many inches, tell them to show you progress pics.

MTG worked fine but the smell of smoked bacon is what made me stop. You could make your own sulfur mixture by buying sublimed sulfur and oils. Njoy has been using her own sulfur mix and it has done wonders for her hair.

From my experience (been lurking around here since 08') I read here (if i'm remebering right) that sulfur does/has some quality that has something to do with creating/maintaining a healthy scalp enviroment for hair growing. (*think when AA children are young someone reaches for the sulfur 8 when there's an issue with the scalp*) Well if that makes any sense...

For me..I began using MTG last year 09'(end of the year to be exact) and I don't think I've been consistent enough to see too much. But my edges have progressed and I believe like another poster said that the sulfur in mtg was one of the things my hair care routine was missing. I've still managed to over do with *product* and create some irritation but my scalp seems healthier overall than it's been since childhood. My steamer has brought me to the same conclusion (my hair needed MORE).

Btw my MTG mix smells GOOD...lol. seriously. I also have another lady totally in love with it.

I have been using MTG off and on it has worked to keep my hair consistant with growth. How much growth I can not tell as I do not measure.

So far as the smell I put a little on my counter and dab my finger and then dab my scalp. I do not use alot as it can make the hair greasy. I also use this method as it does not give the rash because I am not using alot.

I use MTG 1st then my condish. I do not put it close to the edges as it will run. I also use Mega tek which has thickened my hair. I will post pics of my edges in a munute.

The best thing is to try it and see how it works for you. Eveyone is different.

I'm still using MTG, but I'm the fence about it making hair grow. It's something about the mineral oil and just putting it on my scalp seems so wrong so I do stop sometimes and start back up. Its definitely debatable about the growth it's nothing to write home about. I have been using it since Aug, and have recently started using mega-tek cell rebuilder (pink writing) again because I like the thickening that I got from it.

I think if you have scalp issues from diet, environment and/or products, mtg may help you. Try it and let us know. I think usage over 3 months should give you enough info to make a decision.
